'Til the Dolphins leap up as nagging doubts wrack their sleep
Visions of Cheeseheads dancing merrily haunted their dreams
Thots of Aaron Rodgers on a roll made them sweat & scream
Suddenly out of nowhere Santa appears
Wearing cool shades & fanning their fears! -
He tells them, "It's no dream & it's no joke
The Packers are pumped & totally stoked"
Already upset Dolphins are taken aback
At this jelly belly's affront & pre-Pack attack:
"Good boys they've been, good boys they are
They're so damn good I see a Miami massacre -
No victory cheers for you! Only Dolphin fan jeers."
The cold sound of hard truth numbs the poor players' ears
As Santa says "Take it from St. Nick, fellas. A forfeit's much better
Than the Packers handing your heads back to you on a platter"
His words leaves the team sobbing, shattered, shaking & stunned
Saying "He's right, why play when we're so obviously outgunned?
"There's no way we can ignore such divine holiday profundity."
"So my job here is done!" replies the red garbed rotundity
With that Santa shouts "Merry Christmas!" & makes his farewell
But before exiting the building he walks down a stairwell
Out of Dolphin earshot he calls a wishful Green & Gold lad
And says "Done! HO HO HO! They don't know they were had."
The tyke says "Gee, Thanks Santa! I didn't think you could do it!"
Santa says "Well I won't guarantee you they'll not catch on to it -
"As a payday's involved they'll still show up for the game.
But a bug should be bouncing between their ears all the same -
Tho a Christmas Day miracle Green Bay needs more than not?
A dispirited Dolphins team gives them their next to best shot."
