No matter the outcome this nation will bear most of the cost already long passed by our low-%rate-in-the-polls congress & our POTUS Major news coverage said last week that he has 2,400 pieces of legislation he wants passed in congress before January 2016. On the matter of climate change legislation I thought they had everything covered already. Maybe not

Almost 150 heads of state, including David Cameron, Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are heading to Paris for the start of the most important environmental meetingfor decades.

Ahead of the summit, more than 175 countries have tabled pledges (known as intended nationally determined contributions, or INDCs) to cut their carbon emissions which, if enacted, would be enough to limit global warming to 2.7C. But the United Nations has pledged to limit climate change to 2C – and would much prefer it to be 1.5C.

It would be nice to know if China has pledged a contribution to make it unnecessary for the 1 new grease zerk for American's Chinese made billfolds and pocketbooks!

Mercy Doka! You've nailed it perfectly! At the Drudge Report just minutes ago, India is leaning on not joining the club. But I admit to just reading the headline there. The main headline with a big pic shows 3 ladies dressed as white angels with fluffy wings out to save our planet. The CC fans, in the majority, know some years back our US Congress passed, hidden inside, 400 bills with CC laws already on the books in D.C.

The UN's our baby still in diapers! A little division over there and a lot of division over here is not qualifying our present POTUS having his painting/photo in the U.S. Capitol's Rotunda!

Fighting Global Warming Requires 'Big Fat Price' On Carbon Pollution

One of the smartest ways to fight global warming is putting a price on carbon dioxide pollution, according to key world leaders at the international climate summit, including U.S. President Barack Obama.

"I have long believed that the most elegant way to drive innovation and to reduce carbon emissions is to put a price on it," Obama added at a Tuesday news conference in Paris. Obama called it something out of "an Econ 101 textbook."

The number of countries, provinces, states or cities putting a price on carbon has tripled in the past year and is now at 40, including some U.S. states, World Bank Group President Jim Young Kim said Monday.

"We simply cannot afford to continue polluting the planet at the current pace," Kim said. "Carbon pricing is critical for reducing emissions, preserving our environment and protecting the most vulnerable."

Kim said carbon trading can work as well as a carbon tax, but OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria said that a tax, even if it doesn't raise new funds and replaces other taxes, clearly works best: "We should put a big fat price on (carbon) in order to penalize it." FULL STORY

December 1 AM Bill Bennett's Morning in America's last ten minutes was a riot. The show was getting e-mails with folks using famous quotes from our past Presidents! I do remember one credited to POTUS Bill Clinton, " I did not have sexual emissions with that lady!" The others were almost as funny Riddick! It was all over the Pres's line about us being number 2 in the world on admitting our emissions!
