I will speak for myself only. My wish is that you could see your way clear , to stop your forum killing bots to somewhere else, unless of course, that is your intention? Because as you say no human has access to this forum, but a handful of humans here as it is a closed foum. Bot collecting don't count.

I appreciate further contributions to this thread, as well as any others. OTOH at best attracting bots is a dubious pursuit as non-humans already make up the vast majority of visitors & adding more to that number may have unpleasant consequences -

Tho the FF is closed to new members any humans can browse & read. Bots just spy. 'Profile raising' in that way does nothing to advance or enhance the FF & may be to its detriment -

IMHO. rather than links to posts here, tweeting only the content of posts (as well as any pertinent replies) is a far safer pursuit and will help to keep nasty bots at bay.

Riddick, Many years past I remember reading the dos and do nots here. I'm not clued into "Profile Raising".

This is all new to me so I'll quit putting ro'bot susceptible links in after 20 plus years. I'll get rid of that link to the hidden Daily Snopes topic.

It looks to me you mistook what I was saying - I was NOT saying to change how or what you post here - What I WAS saying was instead of including links to your FF posts in Tweets, tweet only the post's contents & the contents of any applicable replies

In that FF links on sites like Twitter raise the FF's profile on the Web, they can attract additional unwanted bot traffic. While we'll never be rid of bots we needn't put out invitations.

I've been standing by M on FB. I need to see your avatar to choose two way notes.

For privacy purposes I like to keep a low FB profile, so I'd prefer we restrict two-way exchanges to the FF except as needed - In that regard, did the info & FB avatar/profile pic I posted here not get you anywhere?

I do omit the two videos a lot and I'd hoped that would be noticeable.
