🕊**We live 36 miles away from the old International Harvester truck and refrigerator factory in Evansville, Indiana. That became a Republic Aviation factory in 1941. The "most" P-47 "Jugs" were built there.
A Russian immigrant designed this heavy fighter-bomber air plane!
To further the war effort after the dastardly attack on Pearl Harbor. The "most" LST's as the "Landing Ship Tank" at 168 were also built in Evansville.
