 It's because it has a revolving cylinder. But surely there were other ways to "safe up" a Colt, Smith and Wesson, but not to date.

Let's go to empty chambers with no blanks or chances for real bullets, fake barrel flashes and synchronized booms! Just like AHC and other productions do that for Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan re-enactments on 1 hour battles

Ref: Sy-fy "Predator" with Arnold S.

Ref: 1943 - the remake of Bogart's "Sahara" with Jim Bellushi in 1995

Lots of assult rifle barrel muzzles are seen there in camera close ups. Look close and there will be a smaller barrel within the big barrel! 😎 Besides blocking real ammo the insert keeps muzzle pressure high back to the bolt so it will eject blanks.

Hollywood has a way with guns to fit roles too! They'd better find a better way to prevent disasters on a movie set!

To date with all the Alec Baldwin coverage there's been no case made like this by a well paid Captain Obvious!

If you see the above uncovered one of these days. Let us know.

MK II ∆= FDNY 343 🍎 😢
