It's so cool he's having a child at his age! Amazing. (I was a late child too--my dad was 57 when I was born) He passed when I was only 19.
That's the only down side.
In all reality folks, I don't think so. Art is not one to hide his intentions from his listeners if he's not under duress (as was the case in 1998). If he was planning on leaving the air and retiring permanently, we would have known about it already. Radio is still in Art's blood. You can hear it in his voice every weekend that he broadcasts live.
Ramona's passing, his subsequent marriage to Airyn, his moves to the Philippines and back to Pahrump haven't knocked him off the air, and we all know those type of radical life changes would have taken out 99% of the other big-name talk radio hosts.
Granted, having a baby a couple of weeks from your 62nd birthday is yet ANOTHER radical lifestyle change. Art said it best though, the night he returned to the airwaves after Ramona's passing 17 months ago: "Isn't radio magical?" The 'magic' of nighttime talk radio still has its seductive, feathery yet unrelenting grip on our friend from Pahrump, even with Miss Asia about to make her entrance into the world.
I feel Art will be broadcasting for some time to come.
