Art Bell is gone and Seagull is back.
I think I must have died and gone to hell. Email crap channel and complain. Maybe I'm just having a bad dream.

LOL.. It's Art and Keith up to their usual pranks for April Fool's Day...
But, the Black mold in the home of Art and Ramona, and company.. is no doubt true, their was an outbreak in Pahrump a while back..
And you know that place probably doesn't see the light of day, as they sleep with blackout shades.. Las Vegas style..
And am I excited to hear the line up for the week.. Starting out with our most favorite host.. Mike' actually i like him, especially as a political host.. in these trying times..
And as far as Royelle James.. just can't wait to hear more of her stories about Route 66' from her cell phone in her vette.

Yup, Art & Keith got me the first time. When I got the blue error screen, I actually did the CTRL-ALT-DELETE thing. The second time I tried to log into Art's site, I read the entire error message and noticed "If you want to log into Art's site, click here." How strange, I thought, "artbell" showing up in a MS error msg. Still, I didn't get it. But after reading the guest host lineup it hit me like a ton of black mold. This is an April Fool's joke. Fool me once, shame on me, etc.
ah come on you guys really believed it? The minute I read the topic I knew better ... laughing out loud it's April Fools!<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by lutefisk:

We can sympathize with a child who is afraid of the dark, but the real tragedy of life is that most people are afraid of the light.

OK, twice Art has quit out of the blue. Once he 'officialy retired' for a year. Lately he's been disappearing without notice, and returning without explanation. As recently as Friday he blew off open lines "for an extended Easter holiday weekend".
When I saw that, I really figured this was it. Goodbye Art. To add the return of Seagull to the mix? Talk about insult to injury.
I guess it was a great joke, but I'm not laughing. I found the blue screen O death easier to take.

I thought the spoof was great! Keith Rowland has, among other things, a great sense of humor. Art says he was spoofed as well with the blue screen of death - ha ha.
As for Art not being on the show as often - well, why should he be really? I enjoy tuning in when there is a good guest, and do not expect to be entertained nightly. Art has put in a lot of time on the air and if he can take time off and extended weekends from time to time - he's earned it and it's his life. Why should we presume to tell the man what to do? Demanding, rather than appreciative fans, are not viewed favorably. And, why should they be.
As for not giving advance notice when he is going to be off the air - ever decided to do something spontaneous and call in sick to work? Hey - it keeps the spirit alive. Art Bell owes us nothing - except the good shows he puts on when he has an interesting guest. Which has been more often lately.
