American bumble bees have disappeared from these 8 states. Now they could face extinction.

Dwindling populations of the American bumble bee and their complete disappearance from eight states has led to a call for the bee to be placed under the Endangered Species Act before they face extinction.

Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Idaho, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Oregon each have zero or close to zero American bumble bees left, according to a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity and Bombus Pollinators Association of Law Students.

"The American bumble bee was once the most common bumble bee species in North America, but without "immediate action" to protect it under the ESA, it will continue its alarming decline towards extinction," the petition authors wrote.

At the on going rate of our procreation vs illegal immigration vs demands on food horticulture. The meek might not inherit the earth.

Heavily applied herbicides, pesticides, airborne chemtrail dumping, climate change?, competition from honeybees?, disease and never ending leaking radiation into the Pacific Ocean, oh sh!t!

All bad, but didya see in the USA Today article how climate change tops the oh sh!t list?? As existential threats go, there's no question about it. The best we can do for the future of all creatures great & small is to enact the GND PDQ & in its entirety. No half arsed effort will suffice. We need bee 100% invested KWIM?

What's really weird is systemic racism ISN'T on the list right behind climate change. Studies show carbon footprints & whiteness are without a doubt the top 2 bumblebee killing culprits, donchaknow. Face facts, folks. It's a certainty the science is settled -
