I'm sure that it already has. I recall reading about Chernobyl that within a relatively short time - hours I think, the Swedes had already detected a rise in radioactive particulates over their airspace. Within the week the fallout had pretty much encircled the globe.

So, this stuff is already more than likely starting to shown the food supply. Either the people that should be checking this, aren't, because they're brain-dead themselves, or they've been instructed not to.

I told Rod I wanted a "detector" for Xmas so I can figure out how much radiation we're being exposed to here… and he laughed at me. They were cheaper than an iPad Air… but I think that's what he bought me instead of the detector. BAH, HUMBUG!

I have a detector that I got from ebay, it works well and gives me peace of mind to a degree.

I don't want to know because I can't change it.

you can avoid it though, it is not all-pervasive. Rain is bad, some food and milk is bad, but it all depends.

Living in the rain forest on the west coast is as risky as it gets. Doomed. :(

the particles have to get into you... don't open your mouth, use an umbrella, don't store things that have been in the rain near where you sleep and live. It is not doom, it is extra precautions required. Don't let your kids (talking to everyone) play in puddles. Don't eat the yellow (or green glowing) snow. You know.

We have had several of the highest alerts here, sitting right next to Hanford doesn't help. I'm with Ra, live your life. If I start obsessing about it, I'll just die crazier that I would like to. So I am pretty much ignoring the situation. :(

Peak my interest. What do you mean "to a degree"?
