Lady Calls 911. Gets Shot
A woman waiting for help after her car was struck in Queens wound up getting shot in the leg during a crazed clash between rival tow truck companies.

Suzy Delgado, 48, called 911 after a speeding Range Rover slammed into her parked car in Ozone Park on Saturday night. But before police arrived, workers from two different tow truck companies showed up, each hoping to hook her badly damaged car.

Delgado hadn’t called either tow company, but believes they heard of the crash by listening to police scanners. The tow truck workers got into a fierce quarrel over who would get to tow Delgado’s wrecked car, and the fight quickly escalated.

One of the workers whipped a gun out of his pocket and fired multiple times at his rival — but hit his would-be customer instead. Delgado said she was trying to get away and find somewhere to hide when a stray slug ripped through her right thigh.

Both tow truck workers ran off after the shots were fired. Delgado’s brother-in-law called 911 to say she’d been shot. Cops and medics responded quickly, but Delgado said she’s frustrated her earlier 911 call reporting the crash went unheeded long enough for the tow truck workers to show up first.

EMS took her to Brookdale University Hospital. She was back home Sunday night, struggling with crutches to get around. Her car was eventually towed.

There are no gun shops inside NYC according to Dan Bongino on Fox News this morning.

“I’ve been living around this neighborhood for seven years,” said Delgado, who works at Kennedy Airport cleaning airplanes for Jet Blue. “Never in my life has anything happened with guns around here.”

“Why are people carrying guns?” she added. “Whoever invented guns, that’s the worst invention ever.”

All I can say to her is " Suzy get your gun!"😮
