But how many would know how to do that. And you couldn't go online to find that kind of info. The libraries would be closed.:(

In the winter, lots and lots of chemical heat packs! I could wear extra clothes, but I got lizards.

That is why people should prepare in advance, 99.999% will not.

Agreed. I get regular practice. Out in the sticks we lose power two or three times a winter and sometimes for 2-3 days at a time.

Beansidhe, I use those heat paks in my feral cat shelters during the winter.

That's the point. Read it now. Spread the information widely. Do what you can to save yourself and others. Better than doing nothing.

Makes you wonder if this interview is giving ideas to the evil beings. If people wish to do evil, they usually find a way.

I agree with Art. 90% kill off is a high figure.

That should help in getting people to consider becoming more self sufficient in the event of power/grid failures.

Sounds a bit like Y2K.

Ah. Well, that makes sense. Yep, right on the book's website, it says: "Currently in development with Warner Bros. as a major motion picture." I smell another 'zaster flick in the making.

I think it will be sensationalized as a disaster flick, though. Probably not going to be much of educational value in it. Just my thinking on it. More $$$ to be made for Warner Bros. in special effects.

Hi Shirleypal and all Pirates. :)

There is a movement in some communities, including one I am involved with locally, that is trying to get folks to grow and support food grown locally, based on the idea that if our national food supply chain breaks down, we would quickly run out of food.
