Post by Cpt Spike Mike » 10-13-2006 11:59 PM

The Friday night hangout, also known as the Original Radio Room, is now open. In the first part of tonight's Coast Show, George will talk with UFO journalist Sean Casteel with topics ranging on aliens, abductees and the Bible. Then, the rest of the night will be cranking out those Open Lines. Call George and tell him North Korea is building another nuclear bomb, and this one might actually break some windows. :D

Some news out of today's Houston Shell Open golf tournament: champion Arnold Palmer shed tears today when he stopped keeping score after four holes. He said he didn't feel he was playing up to the fans' expectaions. He also said this would be his last professional competition. Very sad, but what a fantastic career for all to look back on in his retirement.

Yeah, that is sad about Arnie. I hate it when the great ones don't go out on a high note. Some overzealous promoter prolly pressured him into it..

Another guest trying to put the fear of gawd in us again..

This stuff seriously ruins C2C for me, as you prolly noticed. If I wander off to my Xbox don't be surprised. Sorry.. :(

Alien abductions involved - angels - demons..wow.

Ah, he's only scheduled to be on for the first hour. :)

On a personal note, I started working at a new job yesterday: I'm riding with a friend running courier delivery. I do the navigation & mapwork, while working the CB and operating camera. :D

A kewl sidewalk fountain in front of an upscale strip mall.

Congrats on the new-found employment and good luck with it. Sounds like a gravy job to me - very cool.

I already turned off Coast. .Am looking at NASATV at this new TV site I just found:

http://freetube.co.nr/

Talking about Mars rocks and water. Pretty interesting. Some of the channels don't work but many do.

Interesting fountain. That video you posted to youtube is working now...what is it, exactly? Looks like a sculpture of a ratty sail or something. I was hoping it was chicks or something..;)

Dale, that is located in one of the (if not the) smallest city parks in Houston, the Lillie & Roy Hugh Cullen Sculpture Garden. It's a welded steel sculpture titled "Conversation With The Wind" by Italian artist Pietro Consagra. It's balanced to turn in a light breeze.

And there may be people making more money & driving less miles, but this is where we sat & had lunch today. :D

Mild so far

Post by KenaiAK » 10-14-2006 01:05 AM

It has only frosted maybe 3 times so far, but hasn't at all in the past week or so. It rained all summer long... I'm hoping it's just a really long spring break-up and summer is coming soon :)
There was some terrible flooding not far from where I live over the past week. There was a weather front that came straight up from Hawaii that caused tons of rain that in turn melted all the snow on the top of the mountains. Some of the highways turned into rivers, and then there was a really high tide on top of it all. It's pretty messy. It's a really good thing it's not cold enough to freeze all that water.
