Dale's trillion dollar coin is actually a legitimate solution, imho. Why? Because then the inevitable hyper inflation would occur instantly so that the people responsible for this mess would feel the effects. As it sits now, with every round of 'quantitative easing', they are simply issuing the 'trillion dollar coin' in slow motion over decades. In other words, 'they' (those with influence) have reaped the profits, and fully intend to transfer the liabilities onto future generations.

It's the Mitt Romney business model, writ large.

Unless the deduction is taken away - there's talk of that occuring.

And apologies to op whsyfan for my lack of prediction. I predict more of the same.. Why should anything change now that the ones in control finally have what they want - a terrified, dependent, population of folks[i/] devoting most of their effort$ feeding the obese, insatiable dragon we call our govt with anything leftover going to the banks?

Well, there is a bright side. After the economy is crashed the corpses looted, we'll see a multitude of alternative economies spring to life and fill the void. It will be much more organic & diverse.
