Tax deduction.

If you choose to play the 'property ownership' game, there are all kinds of little 'gimmies' & 'gotchas'. A grand redistribution scheme it is.

Dale's trillion dollar coin is actually a legitimate solution, imho. Why? Because then the inevitable hyper inflation would occur instantly so that the people responsible for this mess would feel the effects. As it sits now, with every round of 'quantitative easing', they are simply issuing the 'trillion dollar coin' in slow motion over decades. In other words, 'they' (those with influence) have reaped the profits, and fully intend to transfer the liabilities onto future generations.

It's the Mitt Romney business model, writ large.

From capitalism to cannibalism.

Unless the deduction is taken away - there's talk of that occuring.

If there are two or three groups doing the same thing - get rid of or combine to one and as noted make every group account for $$ they receive and be sure to double check the "controllers pay" in these. Some years back it was in news about the head of one group who bought a yacht, a second home and something else from $$$ going into that group - while group did very little work (group like low income welfare and just about everything they were supposed to be doing was already covered by other groups).
Carter? CURSES!

Wait... I just thought of a group which is duplicating the efforts of other groups - Department of Homeland Security! 'Obama'... Carter... CURSES!!!

And apologies to op whsyfan for my lack of prediction. I predict more of the same.. Why should anything change now that the ones in control finally have what they want - a terrified, dependent, population of folks[i/] devoting most of their effort$ feeding the obese, insatiable dragon we call our govt with anything leftover going to the banks?

Well, there is a bright side. After the economy is crashed the corpses looted, we'll see a multitude of alternative economies spring to life and fill the void. It will be much more organic & diverse.

Example: http://nymag.com/news/features/tide-det ... gs-2013-1/
Tide bottles have become ad hoc street currency, with a 150-ounce bottle going for either cash or worth of weed or crack cocaine. On certain corners, the detergent has earned a new nickname: “Liquid gold.” The Tide people would never sanction that tag line, of course. But this unlikely black market would not have formed if they weren’t so good at pushing their product.

And it's not just drug dealers "cleaning up" their act -

Everything comes out of the wash bright with TIDE!

We can transform more than currencies and soiled clothes it seems. I bring you Coloria Nero, the edgy Italian Tide:

~*~

In the post Cliffian economy of the American Future, Tide bottles will be currency, Skittles will act as coinage, and Arizona Iced Tea jugs will be the wealth storage mechanism of choice. Kool-Aid will be replaced by 'Purple Drank' , and the world will return to a state of harmony & peace.

"It's critically important that we act" - Joe Biden

The old 'Reichstag' strategy, eh? Sweet. Never let a crisis or tragedy go to waste - Still this ISN'T Germany, Feb. 1933 is it! - It's not good to make it all TOO obvious... An EO here, an EO there, and a few trillion-dollar coins later, VOILA!

Rather than rush things, just take it one goosestep at at time.
