Godspeed Captain Fantastic...
Be at peace Linn....
Some grand memories you have gifted me. I , unlike so many, did have the pleasure of conversing with her a few times via the phone. I wish I could share the light in her voice with all of you.

Ah drrr drrr drrr

My mom would be so amazed and pleased to know you heard a "light in her voice". She was always a bit self conscious of her voice. Thought she sounded a bit raspy from smoking. She got her ham radio license, but was always too emabarrassed to speak over the air waves. A shame. I too know she had a sweet voice.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Hi Gemmie. My wife is the same way with audio recorders, voice mail and stuff. I try to tell her that recorded voice sounds funny no matter who is speaking but still, she won't use her voice mail systems on the phone.Gemmie wrote: My mom would be so amazed and pleased to know you heard a "light in her voice". Sadly, I never had the pleasure of hearing your mom's voice, over the phone, Skype or otherwise. I only heard it in my head as I'd read her posts. It had a light there too.

It's a sad thing isn't it? But, I do know how difficult it is to overcome these insecurities. Sigh.
