No DQ, One Fall to a Finish: Crusher & Mad Dog Vachon defeated AWA Tag Team Champs Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens when Crusher pinned Bockwinkel in 16:20 -
However, as the AWA ruled Bockwinkel was not the the legal man in the ring the title did not change hands

In a follow-up to the X-Mas Day face-off between AWA champ Nick Bockwinkel & Mad Dog Vachon (which saw Crusher in Dog's corner) Crusher & Vachon defeated Nick Bockwinkel & Blackjack Mulligan
- Blackjack Lanza came down to ringside near the end of the bout and convinced Mulligan to leave Bockwinkel and go with him, reuniting the Blackjacks. Bockwinkel took a severe beating from Dog and Crusher before getting pinned.
