We're about 300 miles from the zone of totality but from the looks of it we'll be at around 92% blockage

I thot about taking the day off & driving down to Terre Haute but when I realized it's a 10-hour drive there & back I thot better of it

While I'd guesstimated 92% max eyeballing a coverage map, this site has us peaking at 88.4% at 2:07 pm CDT - Not too shabby either way. What ain't that great is Accuweather's forecast puts us at up to 74% cloudy. But variable!! So we may yet spy a sky opening.

Not that I'll be directly ogling, but the cloudier it is the less impressive the shift'll be yet even if totally overcast, there's always the old 2-piece cardboard pinhole trick.

It was a treat to see down in SW IN. It got to be sweater time, lol, after it got dark!

Dr. Michou Cacou was in totality blessed Dallas, TX and he credited a higher power that opened the clouds just before Corona time!

No clouds, but I din't even go outside. Just looked out around 2, noticed the sky was a darker blue & shadows were more defined. Impressive, but not as much as WM XL.

Off topic: Riddick, you should join me @X and watch for the melee I'm attempting related to the not so mighty BritishCrowns stolen jewels tucked away for safe keeping in their Tower of London. The Royals are just as impervious to fault as our Dems and Rinos in the States seem to be. 🛋

I discovered that there will always be one missinginside that Tourist Trap Tower that became a much beleaguered, LSD influenced citizen recluse from Cambridge, England!

Would you believe I'm less active on X than on FB? My membership in both is just to keep up with a very small & select # of kindred folks - Not to say it's not the same deal here, but at the FF I needn't deal with folks I don't care to cope with -
