Curious about if you folks are listening live or have you subscribed for a fee? Just figuring out if I buy a subscription or not.

Hey Diogenes ~

No subscription this time!

Just wait until around 9pm, & follow this link: http://darkmatterdigitalnetwork.com/

...and click "listen via pop-up player", or whichever method you prefer. I am assuming this would work on an iPhone/Android device. Maybe someone can chime in with more info on the mobile scenario.

The show is slated to be on AM soon.

Richard is overcharging

Post by rolede » 07-21-2015 08:41 PM

Art's membership is $5.00 monthly foe 3 Hours

Richard wants $5.00 monthly for only 2 Hours

Richard should be charging $3.33 monthly

I'll tell you, it was difficult focusing and talking to Art because my boyfriend was muttering in the background the whole time about how hot it was in the bedroom and how lousy a job I did installing the new a/c. For the record, he's nuts, it was plenty cool in our room. As I listen to the call today, I could actually hear him at one point yell out, "its hot Art!" LoL.
So that's him at 2:20 in this clip of your call? How cool is that? For sure way cooler than the weather at the time, eh!! :D

I was wandering around on shortwave tonight and I tuned in on a familiar voice. Art was loud and clear on 5085 kHz. It definitely had some fade and crackle but was still strong. It was fun to reconnect, and old radios still work for this show anyway. Very glad to see you are all still here.

We're still here, more or less, though the ship's contingent has contracted quite a bit over time. For the most a handful or so post regularly with about the same number of pirates posting peripherally. Between the groups, the member mix can change; in a given month six of one, half dozen of the other but it's a lot better than nil!!

Anahoo, very glad t'see ya found your way back to both Art AND the FF, LM. Many happy returns to ya, matey! :grog:

Thank You! Good to see you here. I'm listening on shortwave again and the show comes in better than it ever did on the broadcast band. I could just give in and go with streaming but I paid a lot for those radios!

That is good news! I should try my shortwave radio out and see if I can pull it in.

In NOT-so good news, MITD has lost one of its shortwave affiliates... Fortunately the show's still on SW stations WTWW 5,085 KHz & CFRX 6,070 khz

"Dropped due to lack of paying sponsor."

Wonder how that works? Each station needs to find a sponsor for each show?

My understanding was each affiliate station had to find advertisers for the time that commercials aired on MITD via streaming, so as to make it worthwhile to carry the show on their schedule rather than some other program.

Maybe it wasn't so much finding a sponsor as it was having a sponsor who didn't just ignore their bill??
