The Return of Art Bell

Art is planning to return to broadcasting on the Internet when his non-compete clause with SiriusXM expires in July 2015.
Should we start the countdown??

287 days until Wednesday July 01 2015

Or more specifically... http://goo.gl/GxeFSj

Do we dare to hope, or will this be another let-down?
There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles and piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free. (Moody Blues)

Nice!

In unrelated news, there is only 295 days left until Art Bell retires again!

Not-So-Great Expectations

IMO daring to hope to excess is ill-advised and as such, appropriate precautionary measures instituted now may save folks disappointment later - Good news is, the way Dark Matter imploded, the bar's already set pretty low.

All the more optimism is confined under heavy guard, all the less likely folks will experience any serious letdown... That said, who knows? Hey, maybe Art will surprise us - Tho just to be on the safe side make that a BIG maybe!

What I don't get is how his homegrown streaming solution is going to hold up the hordes when Sirius could not do that to his satisfaction.

In a word: Innovation! In six? Necessity Is The Mother Of Invention.
But seriously, in seven and IMHO... 'Your Guess Is As Good As Mine.'

He's getting pretty old. His best bet would be to do limited work and post up the podcast. I doubt a lot of people will listen online but I bet he would get gazillions of podcast downloads. Two shows a week would be good..

Then again I think it's best on AM at 3 in the morning. I guess I could pretend.
Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been The champion of the world.

I followed him to Sirius. But seriously, it was pretty lame.

I always enjoy listening to Art. He is unique. I too think a podcast would be the best bet.

In any case, I hope he makes it back!

Can Art effectively retire against a Federation Light Worker like George?
