Art on Facebook....
First of all my sincere congrats to Premiere Radio, they made the right move. Business is War
and I would have done the same exact thing, and did in my day.

Second, given the same circumstances I would make the same decision again today about Dark
Matter. There is much you do not know and I will not talk about because it was given in confidence
and I am kind of old school so I will not talk about those things even though it would help you to
understand my decision.

Third, I would love it if Sirius/XM would waive my NC but they said no and even though I could run
out and get a Lawyer and perhaps win back my freedom I will most likely not do that. If I were ten
Years younger it might be a different story, I will say this, It seems crazy as hell to me that we offered
exactly what Premiere ended up taking. Now Sirius/XM has a show that will be mostly commercials and
seems much less a good fit than Dark Matter with a Host who thinks a Typhoon in Vietnam causes rain
in Hawaii. (Last night's show, first hour)

Fourth and finally I would like to say sorry to the people who did come over either by Radio or the less
than stellar streaming, trust me I understand your anger, I only wish you had enough information to
understand my decision.

Art Bell

Classic Art.

"There are things you don't know. If you knew, you would understand. Everything I do is a strange mystery."

Uh-huh. Right Art, but it's the part we *do* know that has us "face-palming" so hard our noses are bleeding.

I get the feeling that Art was never in charge of business decisions back in the 90's. He's a great interviewer with an eggplant for a brain when it comes to contracts, business, & a great many things.

Later, dude.

What does this mean?

How would we know? We're just the cash farm.
Maybe Sirius/XM made a deal to stream C2C.
Hang out for 10 years and wade through all the hook lines and hints, then Bell will finally reveal the 'whole story' and you'll get it.
Like I said somewhere else, Pizza Punch was the perfect flagship product for the Art Bell brand, and Dark Matter should have been called "Radio Pizza Punch" - all hype, quick cash, ultimately no there there.

Mysterious and reassuring? Nope.

Asinine & unprofessional.

If this is what it sounds like...there's nothing "crazy as hell" about it -- it's two companies teaming up to obliterate you because they're sick of your bull****.

WOW.......

In sum:

Dark Matter remains cancelled

Coast 2 Coast is taking over Art's time slot

Art's "no compete" clause remains in effect.

We know nothing and he talks like we do. You don't tell us **** Art, how are we supposed to follow this? Deletes facebook then re-initializes it. It is a debacle.

I knew right before you quit that your non-compete would not allow you to do what you wanted, how did you not realize this?

Dude. Holy freaking crap.
Coast To Coast AM Weekdays 1 am ET

George Noory is no ordinary talk show host, not just because Coast to Coast AM is the dominant live all-night show in America today, but because George is a true radio fanatic, the ultimate "new media" personality.

Art tried to throw his weight around and got burned, big time.

Bah... this is a stretch. Actually, it's a total shred on reality. :D

I bet Snoozy can't even talk for 5 full minutes on 'new media' paradigms, strategies, etc. He thinks because he receives a 'fast blast' during a Morgus debacle that he's all 'new media, yo'. Rofl-meow.

I heard Mr George say that, I'm still giggling.

Lordy, I hope not! But entertaining in his own way.

I am really sorry it didn't work out for Art, but I will always be grateful for his original show, it opened so many "worlds" up to me that I would never have known about. That in it's self means a whole lot!...................:)
