I have Mercury retrograde in my third house. I read recently that it means right now I have associates coming and going.

Actually, Mercury keeps everything moving. However, when in apparent retro-grade motion - it's moving backward.

Venus will be retro-grade March 7th through April 18th. That will hurt. The wheels of civility will begin to squeak.
