From hennessysview.com:
Millennials About To Bite Obama’s Crap Sandwich . . . with Relish

Posted on July 5, 2012

Sometimes the folks at Business Insider get fairly simple ideas ass backwards. Take their Winners and Losers story on the Supreme Court’s Obamacare decision. It’s dead wrong about Millennials (born after 1982):
  • Young people can also count themselves winners in the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act, which allows children to stay on their parents’ insurance plan until their 26th birthday.
    Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/winners- ... z1zP2AiaCO
Here’s why: the massive tax increase that the Supreme Court upheld hits Millennials almost exclusively. In fact, the tendency of young workers to skip health insurance and pocket the case is a major reason for the individual mandate. According to Forbes:
  • Obamacare forces insurers to charge their eldest beneficiaries no more than 3 times what they charge their youngest ones: a policy known as “community rating.” This, despite the fact that these older beneficiaries typically have six times the health expenditures that younger people face. The net effect of this “community rating” provision is the redistribution of insurance costs from the old to the young.
And up to now, young people have paid very little for insurance—without a court-sanctioned penalty tax:
  • The young are just entering the work force, and therefore typically have below-average incomes. In addition, the young are healthy, and have much less use for expensive health insurance.
The BI writer erroneously assumes that all parents will keep their 21-26 year olds on their plan. But many will not. Many don’t.

That means that Obama’s massive crap sandwich tax increase will land on the backs of Millennials, who are already drowning in college debt and debt-end, low paying jobs.
  • Even with slow economic improvement in the past two years, these so-called “Millennials” remain unemployed and underemployed at the highest rates of any group.
Yet these Millennials famously worked their butts off to get Obama elected. They still favor Obamacare. And irresponsible journalists like the one at Business Insider continue to tell them they won something in the Obamacare case. Washington Times writer, Patrice Hill, documents a young man with a Master’s in graphic design, four years out of grad school, working the photo counter at a drug store for an hour. Now, he’s forced to add health insurance to his expenses.

Millennials won, alright. They won a crap sandwich from Uncle Obama.

Can be summarized as "Be careful what you wish for"...........

As one who voted for Obama, I'm disgusted - I admit it. But then again, when I look at Romney........ Man, I need a drink..........

Neither choice is attractive, and as good as Paul looks as a write-in, a vote for Ron is statistically a vote for Obama. So it's really a "hold your nose and vote" moment.

If the population was not so damn party oriented, and could focus on the political problems, probably the best solution would be for citizens in states to first go after state representatives, then congress and senate, ending up at the door of the White House with demands to cut government and govern at the will of the people.

But even if it gets twice as bad as it is now, there will still be numbnutz that sit in their party's lap denying the issues that got us here.

Excerpted from
The 'Pre-Existing Condition' Hoax in ObamaTax
by Dr. Susan Berry
We are told that one of the most "popular" features of the president’s signature "ObamaTax" health insurance law is one that prevents health insurance companies from denying coverage to those with pre-existing conditions.
...
Most people, regardless of political ideology, want all Americans to be able to purchase health insurance coverage and gain access to care. The difference is not in the desire but in the policies that will get the job done. Neither Republicans nor Democrats have been successful in this endeavor to date.

With ObamaTax, the left has chosen a big government policy that will offer a very brief period of health care access to individuals with pre-existing conditions, followed by little or no access to care as Americans cope with long lines to see doctors.
...
The "pre-existing condition" feature of ObamaTax is, indeed, a hoax, because it assumes that, once the law is fully implemented, those with pre-existing conditions will still be able to schedule an appointment with their doctors and specialists within a reasonable period of time. The law assumes this despite the fact that, at full implementation, all the currently uninsured will be added to the rolls as patients to the health care system.

Consider that a recent survey, released by the Doctor Patient Medical Association, found that 83% of American physicians have considered leaving their practices over President Obama’s health care reform law, and 72% say the individual insurance mandate will not result in improved access to care. In addition, 74% of the physicians surveyed say they will stop accepting Medicare patients or leave Medicare panels completely, while 49% indicate they will stop accepting Medicaid patients.

What this means is that the number of doctors available--the supply of physicians--will likely decrease as the demand for services increases. Sure, you might be able to see a nurse practitioner for a cold or cough, but the wait to see a specialist for those "pre-existing conditions" will seem like an eternity.
...
Since the demand for the services of specialists will increase dramatically, gaining access to the supply of care needed will grow difficult...Yes, everyone, even those with "pre-existing conditions" should be able to obtain health care coverage. What ObamaTax does not guarantee is health care access.

This is nothing new. Obama's plan will only exacerbate an already tenuous situation. Just because people have insurance, does not automatically mean that you have access. These are two entirely different aspect to the delivery of healthcare. Physicians are not legally bod to accept any sort of medical insurance - even Medicare. Physicians are increasingly choosing to opt-out of Medicare simply because the administrative burdens are increasing while reimbursement level shrink.

Yes, I know doctors who won't even bother with Medicare -- there's simply no hope of being reimbursed.

I've thought of this as well and then get depresed as you realize the type of thought and discipline this would require and sorry but I don't think there are enough of us not "wedded" to our team.

Being wedded to one's team is far different than holding one's nose or at the very least ambivalent.

We have either a pack of cheerleaders who can't think beyond their team designation OR folks who vote in their own self interest in the form of freebies and gimmees.

That's what it's been now for a while now - some people vote strictly along Party lines (and, hey - I used to do that myself). Others vote because they are being promised the world - whether it is social or corporate welfare, subsidies, tax breaks, what have you....

The days of voting for what is best for the country are long gone, I'm afraid. Each president has added staggering amounts of money to the debt and it seems to be a contest who can impoverish the country faster.

Again, doesn't matter who's in charge because the plan's already been laid out by those who tell the president how to act and sign legislation and direct the country - at least, that's my view.

So at the same time as Obama's plan seeks to alleviate the worst of the insurance aspect, as a consequence of adding coverage for those tens of millions of folks currently without health care policies, for everyone on the whole the access aspect can and will only get worse than it already is... that doesn't sound too good does it?

But hey, it's not ALL bad. At the very least there'll be more opportunities for folks to get fresh air and maybe even get to know each other while they're standing in line outside to see the doctor, eh?

Many a person has done something with good intentions, with hopes to solve a problem, only to open another set of problems which they think are outweighed by the first, yet damage a nation by leaps and bounds.

There are also those that in the quest for their agenda know that the consequences won't affect them, so f__ the other people, FULL STEAM AHEAD!
