I would like to thank all the listeners who voted for me and that includes the group here on F.F.

I have been nominated for and have won many awards in the Years I have been on the air but I think this one means by far the most. I have looked at the company I will be in and it humbles me indeed.

We will be on a cruise to Hawaii from October 23rd through Nov 7th and will have to fly directly from San Diego to Chicago to make it.

So I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who made this possible. I think the lesson of all this is try not to follow the herd in life. I am only sorry Ramona did not have a chance to see it happen.

All the ABs are well indeed and the smallest AB is running all around the house and getting into as much trouble as possible.

We are going to take a Vacation to the Philippines so the Grandparents can have a look.

We are SO happy and pleased for you! My 88-year-old Dad, who is your fellow Ham and long-time listener said "this honor was long overdue and I'm real happy for Art." He and so many others you'll never know voted for you out of admiration, respect, and we Pirates can add "love." Glad we could help spread the word, as well.

Ramona knows . . . have no worries there.

Don't let anything stand in the way of making it to the awards ceremony. Wish we could all be there.

Your recognition is very well deserved. First it was Art Bell in LA for R&R and now Art in Chicago for the big honor. Those are pretty big spotlights for a small town Pahrump guy. Shows how much of an impact you made on radio worldwide. As humble as you usually are when you downplay listeners calling you a "legend" on the air, you have to admit this has got to feel really good.

What's true is true, Art is a radio legend and always King of the Overnight.

Once again congrats and best of luck hope all is happy and healthy in the Bell house.
