Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Art:
As a kid who grew up all-too-interested in UFOs, "high strangeness" and "things that go bump in the night" ... it was a joy to be introduced by a co-worker to your show some 10+ years ago.
At that time, I had to tune in Utah or Nevada, as no California station had yet picked up your program. The signal was weak, bit it was a revelation to hear someone discuss such things with wit and humor, but a genuine respect for the subject matter.
C2C every evening, Dreamland on the weekends ... thanks for all the fun, chills and thoughtful commentary.
You are an original and a classic ... you'll be missed.
Godspeed ...

ART!! QSL!
Thank you so much for the post...hearing from you means the world to us. Thank you for thinking of us as your family -- we care SO much about you, about your happiness...forgive us for being selfish sometimes. It may come across as being critical or questioning, but it's because you have been such an anchor for us through the years; we just don't know what we're going to do without you -- especially if/when something earth-shattering happens. We love getting your take on the world, having you "escort" us through the night. You are so much a part of our lives and we want that to continue.
You are forever in our thoughts and prayers -- and we'll try not to do a Mindblast to force you back. Fifteen shows a year is better than none -- we'll take it and be damn happy about it!
Take care of your beautiful family and ENJOY yourself! Know you always have a home here on the Ship that Art Built that sails on the Desert of the Sea.
We love you,
Joanie

Yes, it was time
But if we all could have lived on the radio together, forever, I would have accepted that. I would not have objected to that.
But alas. Man plans, God laughs. Yet, it has always been my experience that God knows best.
I will forget you and those days, and what they all meant to me. The minute after I die.
Thank You. Godspeed.

Did you ever stop to think, and then forget to start again?
WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD
(George Weiss / Bob Thiele)
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Oh yeah

Thanks for the wild ride, Art -I have listened nearly every night you've been on the air since I used to hear you drift in and out of Phoenix from KDWN, Nevada (early 90's?). What a joyous day it was when KFYI began to broadcast C2C! You have truly made a difference in my life! You are making the right decision, have a blast and feel the love!

Art you take care of that lovely family. And there is no need to move to the Phillipines. You can visit there and live here. Asia needs to know both worlds. But the opportunities for her are much more available here as she grows.
I am glad you will be around for 15 shows. I hope when some exciting edge of your seat thing happens in this world, you will come on for that night to be a team with us in whatever the excitement might be.
Get that women granite counter tops:D
And take care of your health, don't fall off the missing deck. Watch out for that glue. Do not touch any part of you with glue in your hand.
You are doing it right Art and that is a very good thing.
Remember you are the one we want on the radio when the need arises.
From the Desert of the Sea...............this is Kathy from the Gold Country...via Couer d'Alene Idaho........... Hi to Maggie for me...
Airyn you are part of our family too, and of course baby Asia, beautiful baby Asia....
Wanna take a ride..........what a ride you have taken.........
Love and Light......Kathy

Art - thanks SO much for dropping by the Ship to let us know you and the family are OK. Airyn and Asia are very blessed to have a husband and daddy so devoted.
Very much looking forward to riding through the night with you 15 times per year, especially Ghost-to-Ghost and New Years' Eve. The 'ride' indeed continues.
In the meantime, many of us will be listening on SMeter to hear the goings-on with you and the Hams via the Pahrump receiver.
My wife first turned me on to you in the autumn of 1997. I'll never forget the night I first tuned in on my own. You and your guest were talking about alien abductions. Frankly Art, you scared the CRAP out of me that night, but I was hooked, and have been a faithful listener ever since.
Thank you for so many years of great broadcasting. You've left a legacy in radio that can and will never be forgotten. No matter who sits in the chair nightly from now on, your picture will always be on the mantle above the fireplace, as Ian so aptly put it. Thank you for helping change the way we look at the world and teaching us how to question everything around us in search of the truth.
From me (Thomas) and my family (wife Brenda, and sons Evan and Eric), all the best, we will be listening for you, and we'll stay on the ride with you for as long as you come back to visit on the air.
From the Valley of the Missouri River in Western Iowa, until we meet again, in the middle of the night...

Oh, Linnea, thank you for posting these lyrics. It's been a year since I've listened to this song. But it was Iz's version of the song that I wanted to hear, so I searched out a video for that one, and sat here with tears running down my face as I listened. Thank you for being the catalyst for my catharsis.
Art, it's because of you that I was even aware of Iz's version of this song, and for that I have to thank you. The reason I cried when I listened to it again is because I chose it to be played at my brother's memorial service a year ago TODAY. I don't mean this to be a downer or anything, but just to say thank you. The song was perfect. My parents loved it so much that I gave them my Iz CD before I left to return to my home far away. So, thank you for this.
You've touched my life in so many ways, Art. I just want you to know that.
I wish you happy days with Airyn and Aisia. You are right. Life is very short, and we never know when our time will come. So, blessings to you on your journey, and I hope we hear from you from time to time.
Again, thank you.
