Check out this fascinating 6 minute video about what will soon be taking over the planet. Did you know that the amount of technical information is doubling each year - which means that for students starting a four-year college degree in the fall, half of what they learn in that first year of study will be outdated by their third year of study? I think we are losing control of our own program.
"We are currently preparing students for jobs that don't exist using technologies that haven't yet been invented in order to solve problems we don't even know are problems yet."

For all but the most technically specific jobs employers are hiring liberal arts/business graduates and training them on their own technology as they go.
What they value most is creative thinking, the ability to learn quickly, communication skills, team-building skills and leadership. Young people with these skills will move very quickly and can find great success.
I would urge any of you with younger children to make sure your children get a college education and that what they major in (in an undergraduate degree) is less important than learning the above skills.

Dance to heal the earth. Not just when you're dancing, but always. Live the dance, whenever you move, in all you do, dance to heal the earth.
