There's a "new" distro: Overclockix 3.79. I ran it from the Live-CD for a bit and decided I liked it so I installed it. It actually comes with BOINC! Although, I couldn't get the version of BOINC that comes with it to connect through my network so I downloaded a copy from the BOINC site.

Anyway, here's a screenshot:

thanks tab, my young daughter's computer has linux on it and she can't play her online games with it because it doesn't have shockwave. would this new version help?

No shockwave on linux, sorry.... check this out http://www.petitiononline.com/linuxswp/petition.html.


Overclockix is nice, and you should try out Slax livecd, perhaps the best livecd I have ever used...

Also, if you have some time, download the Knoppix4 DVD edition, and be ready to be amazed at how much software they packed in there!
