dvd problem

Post by palosheights » 08-28-2005 05:35 PM

just purchased a dual layered dvd burner for my daughter from staples for 59 bucks and my younger nine year old daughter is into ice skating and she got a dvd of the ice show she was in and we needed to make a copy of it but am unable because you we get the error of no disk found. i checked with dos and it couldn't find a disk and my son checked on his ibook with unix and same thing. has this dvd been copy protected?

any suggestions?

You might try reinstalling it. Check your device manager to see if there is an error.

thanks shirley, but it's the dvd itself. it will play on a dvd player but when you try to access the info on it i get the disk not found error and this was done on 3 diff puters nut including the ibook.

if all fails then i'll just play it on my tv and use my digital camcorder to record the picture off the screen.

Hmm...here's what I've found by doing a search...

I hope that steers you in the right general direction. I haven't played with any of the DVD copying software yet.

DVDXCopy is highly recommended by a few folks but I'm not sure if it will do what you want it to.

thanks tab, this sounds like the way to go. due to a lack of available time, this might take a week or so to d/l everything and get it working, thanks again.
