On March 20 people will be gathering in cities around the nation and around the world to say we believe there are ways to peace other than violence. I'll be participating in a gathering in downtown Chicago. Anyone else speaking up about peace in this way or other ways?
I was very moved at a peace conference I attended in November where one of the speakers was Arun Gandhi, the grandson of Mohandas Gandhi. There are many interesting resources on the website for the MK Gandhi Institute for non-violence:

I hadn't heard of this either. How VERY cool to continue the global march started LAST year at the same time against Bush's war in Iraq!! Hope this year draws even larger crowds than last years record-breaking protest!!!
Here is a calendar of events. Check out whats happening in your area.

Thank you CindyLouWho for posting that link! Anyone who can attend any peace efforts or give time for thoughts of peace in prayer or meditation will help in working toward the Blue Planet.
Recent statistics are quite sad and show the need for peace:

520+ US Soldiers killed
8,100+ Iraqi civilians killed
32.9 million Americans living in poverty
401.7 billion FY 2005 Pentagon Budget
0 Number of WMD found
