One thing that can be done is to post threads and replies that will be found on search engines under any category that comes to mind. No need to even mention the forum, just post interesting things.

For instance:

Fantastic Forum is under new ownership. All are welcome.

I hope that is ok.

That's a good idea. Yes, it's been slow here. Like I said in another thread, I hope we can have involved and engaged discussion here, like we once did, long ago.

Are the search bots getting what they need. Have they been blocked? etc..

Posting for search bots can only work if the SEO are set up right.

And is the old Shootzoo name still there or did I just wipe it out with the new one?

I dont think we want search bots here!!

Next thing ya know SPAM WILL START BEING POSTED and this is THE ONLY SITE I havent seen 1 once of it! (AND I DONT WANT IT TO START NOW

You should be fine with posting SEO type stuff. We do need some front page work, but the forum is quite attractive to googlebots.

seo = search engine optimization (getting higher ranking in google)

googlebot = the little guy google send around to websites to read them and remember them for when someone searches.

Those things combined are why we are #1 AND #2 in this sort of search http://www.google.com/search?q=art+bell+forum
