It's SRING! And it's exploding in our faces here east of Houston. All over my small town of Highlands we've got things blooming & blossoming faster than junior-high school girls. :D

There are redbud trees popping out everywhere, even though they're actually kinda pink colored. :)

These white irises bloom at the end of winter, when the days are slowly getting warmer. They've not had much of a season due to a relatively warm winter.

And this is one confused lantana plant! These are similar to the white irises, and bloom a few weeks later as spring is rolling in. But as I said before, we've had a fairly warm winter and this plant really started to bloom about 3-4 weeks ago. Lately it's been so warm with cool snaps, this plant doesn't know which way to go. :)

Now that I have my camera, I really can't keep up with the blooms just yet - my yard is still full of ice and snow. But for when I am able, can you also let me know what steps you take to upload, i.e. re-sizing pics, program used, etc.

I take Saturday morning drives with the dog and have a few choice pics.

SETIsLady, I use a two-year-old Minolta Dimage Z1.

Big amaryllis flowers.
