Torus

Well the sightings of the Tori, seems to go from simple to complex. The idea that some kind of intelligence is embeded in to a matrix of substrates seem to apply. A composite material of self replicating and self aware, and self evolving molecules that obey the laws of entropy seem to apply.

Unless some one back dated the earlier reports of simple tori, this is the case: a torus was dropped on to planet Earth and has been going through design revisions as it learns and some how feeds on our planet.

Computer simulations can be run on artificial life and what happens is that they usually play out within their constraints. In other words, if these Tori are Life then they should only play out their run at Life well within their parameters of function.

LCDR Data in Star Trek only developed a flesh arm when the Borg Queen was seducing him to betray Star Fleet. I don't think we will see this Torus all of a sudden develop a flesh likeness of Drew Barrymore.

They seem to obey the laws of entropy at getting more complex but going up the hill of intelligence as they seem to evolve. They may feed on patterns of information to replicate themselves. A pattern in a leaf may provide them with a template to manufacture something else or to design a philisophical framework of architecture.

Any casual look at silicon hardware architecture from the transistor to the logic gate - you can see what it will ad up to. It is the case with the Tori that they are going somewhere in a direction that we can see.

Perhaps some time soon it will be a de Facto, "Death Star," type of air craft. In any case I don't think it could break free of it's meta constraints of design. Even if somehow all of these people are faking this; the concept of this idea can only remain in it's paradigm.
