Being unnoticed or being virtually clean of tracks or board marks, as some circles are, seems very daunting for any crew of completely secret, anonymous pranksters to me also.

The Firefox deal is not a good example of how a well organized crew would do this imo. Sloppy planning and understaffed.

With military precision and lots of practice, maybe? Like the USMC marching band in the dark floats in on stealth-blimp technology? I have a hard time wrapping my brain around how it would go down using boards, ropes and manpower and leaving no trace behind that anyone walked on the ground.

I don't know what is going on either Dale but Crop circles did get more elaborate over time. I don't understand how nature does it? I don't understand how people with boards are pulling it off or why Aliens are doing it? It is either one of the greatest hoaxes of our time or one of the greatest mysteries ever.
There are writings from centuries ago of Crop Devils who would come in and wreck the crops. Hell if I know.

Someone needs to get one of these on film or something, or Google Earth could capture one half finished or something. Somebody needs to figure this out dammit! hehe

You're the radio guy..couldn't the same thing be done by, for example, by having the MW xmitter source suspended above where you want the circle and use a filter to mask or wave guides to steer the beam to make the design?

None of this explains the geometry to me..these all appear to be "drawn" by using the rope and pole 'compass' method.. The MW would be more of a free-form medium.

I'm trying to see how you could do this, but the physics just don't play. You would have to heat the shaft of the wheat at precisely the right height, causing the moisture to turn to steam without damaging the plant's structure, THEN apply a force to cause it to lay in one direction. Highly doubtful we have the technology to do that.

Lasers can be focused at a specific distance to only cause damage at that range..perhaps this has something to do with it? The laser would weaken the stem, then MW finish the job?

Thought about that, but I can't really put it together.

The only possible scenario would be softening the stem and then a weather condition with winds that would lay it over in a pattern, but when you think of the odds of control like that, I would have a better chance of winning Mega Millions.

The only thing that makes sense would be a softening followed by a geo-gravitational horizontal action, but again, I doubt WE have the technology to be that precise.

They on the other hand.....
