He should be THE host on the weekends with Art coming on once a month, say on Saturday nights..
Art says 15 times a year. Wonder if that is once a month and then New Years Eve and Ghost to Ghost and a special night when things are getting hairy.
But as a regular host on Friday and Saturday nights should be George Knapp with Ian on Sunday nights.
And GN since he has a contract can have Mon-Thurs. for his following like the caller last night who didn't know what the show was all about.

I caught his show last night for the first time and was very impressed. What a difference it makes when you have a host who is knowledgeable and really engages the guest and callers and actually asks intelligent questions. I wish he were the permanent host. For once since Art retired, PremRad made a good choice.
with Ian on Sunday nights.
Ian's regular early morning M-F local radio show schedule does not permit him to do the late night show on Sunday-Thursday. He can do Fri and Sat late night only. Now that Ian is the permanent Sat night host, the network just wants a semi-regular Sun night host apparently. Maybe 2 Sun a month or something? George Knapp has always been my top pick for that job, if his own TV reporting job doesn't limit him for hosting C2C regularly on most Sundays.

George Knapp
I-TEAM CHIEF REPORTER
George Knapp was born in Woodbury, N.J., and raised mostly in Northern California. He graduated from high school in Stockton, Calif.; earned a bachelor's degree in communications from West Georgia College; and later earned a master's degree in communications from the University of the Pacific, where he also taught speech and debate and served as director of forensics. George also taught speech at California Polytechnic University, coached the debate team at the University of California at Berkeley and taught broadcast journalism at UNLV.
Along the way, George also worked as a hodcarrier, farm laborer, carpenter's assistant and house painter. He moved to Las Vegas in 1979 and landed a job as a taxi driver. Later, he worked at KLVX-TV Channel 10 as a part-time studio cameraman and production assistant. KLAS-TV hired him in 1981 as a general assignment reporter. George also has co-anchored various newscasts for Eyewitness News.
Since 1995, George has been the chief reporter on Channel 8's I-Team investigative unit. In that capacity, he has earned two regional Edward R. Murrow awards and a national Edward R. Murrow award for his investigative stories on the voter registration fraud in the Clark County election of 2004.
Knapp has won 11 Emmy Awards. Several were for his "Street Talk" commentaries and others were for his investigative stories. Seven times, he has won the Mark Twain Award for best news writing from the Associated Press. And in 1990, his series about UFOs was selected by United Press International as best in the nation for Individual Achievement by a Journalist.

As one of the men here, I enjoy George Knapp because he brings to C2C a little of Art Bell's interests in science, space, and investigative reporting on anomalies; topics other than what has become a four to five night a week impalement of spirituality and religion. Although the ground George and John Lear covered last night was essentially a re-tread of past Lear interviews, just knowing a person of Knapp's background and demeanor (not wimpy) was being brought on-board by Premier gives me hope.
I wholly agree about George Knapp. I actually was swept away with his introduction. It was so smooth, like you were brought through the experience with him. Since radio is not visual, an excellent audio descriptive explanation adds to the the richness of listening to the show. You have struck gold in Nevada again Premier and C2C.

Welcome starbrite, you have got that right, something to look forward to again.
I second that entire emotion.starbrite wrote: . . . . Since radio is not visual, an excellent audio descriptive explanation adds to the the richness of listening to the show. You have struck gold in Nevada again Premier and C2C.
And speaking of radio being not visual -- Knapp definitely does NOT have the typical "face for radio," does he?
He's a real looker, in my book -- on top of all the other talents everybody has been listing! :p
