Here's several short-term and long-term solutions they're considering:
http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/bw.html
Most of them involve new client software, one would double WU processing time . I wonder what is the "unexpected and unexplained" increase in campus bandwidth use that began in January 2002. It is very frustrating but crunch on!

Well, geez - I haven't been crunching for a few days. Trying to protect my hard drive until I transfer all the archived pdf files from the forum. Should be finished with that project this weekend and get back to crunching. Wasn't able to upload any wu's last weekend, guess the seti site was down.
I've also got my Pentium II 166 mghz machine back, but don't know if I'll bring that on. Wonder what the crunching times would be. Probably wouldn't hurt.
I know I've asked before, but do not really know how to configure another machine to down and upload files to my seti account. Anyone know how to do that?

Linnea..
I haven't done it for awhile, but it seems to me you just set it up the same way. When you set it up it asks if this is a new or existing account, and you just give it the email address you registered under the first time. You don't even have to remember the password!
Each machine you run it on has to have it's own internet connection, though... Unless they have made some changes, you can't transfer the files between machines.
Hey, if you can run THIS outfit, you shouldn't have any trouble setting up a second seti account!

Hi All;
Yes we are "snug as bugs in a rug" in our new domicile! It's a very pleasant switch moving from an apartment to a house...I love doing the laundry, pulling into the driveway, hanging out in the backyard, and all the rest. I'm looking forward to barbecue season.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
I'm trying to transmit a unit but am having no luck. Any ideas?
