Besides, is the song really that great?

Tool did a tribute to Art and C2C in a song called Faaip de Oiad from their Lateralus album. It's basically the famous 'Area 51 caller' talking to Art right before the satellite feed was cut off with them jamming in the background. Fans have mentioned it to Art and he checked it out but not his cup of tea. A little to hard-core I imagine. :D

yeah the song is cool but i'm partial to billy gibbon's style.
yeah i have the area 51 caller song, it kinda sucks. It is just the call itself with a musicle acompanyment

one tune i DONT have is that BOOM BOOM BA song that art likes from that show he watches. I do not know the name of the song or how to spell the name of the artist, MATISE or something, do ya know? That would be a good one for the CD...:)

I've already got it listed, #18.

One I'm gonna have to add though is that song Art played last night (4-10-04). It's called 'Conspiracy Radio' by Sean Hogan. It mentions Art, stuff from the show, and the whole C2C talk radio phenomenon. A pretty awesome tune I thought. I wouldn't mind getting the 'Dean Scream' Art played after that either.

Well, Blue Oyster Cult's song "E.T.I." from their 1976 album Agents of Fortune should be on it even though it's not bumper music for Art. He needs to pick up on it tho, great song, with an intro tailor made for bumper music. I emailed him about it a few years ago, to no avail. It's more suited for the show than the worn-out "Don't Fear the Reaper" IMO.

E.T.I.

I hear the music, daylight disc
Three men in black said, don’t report this
Ascension, and that’s all they said
Sickness now, the hour’s dread

All praise
He’s found the awful truth, balthazar
He’s found the saucer news

I’m in fairy rings and tower beds
Don’t report this, three men said
Books by the blameless and by the dead
King in yellow, queen in red

All praise
He’s found the awful truth, balthazar
He’s found the saucer news

Dead leaves always give up motion
I no longer feel emotion
Where prophecy fails, the falling motion
Don’t report this, agents of fortune

All praise
He’s found the awful truth, balthazar
He’s found the saucer news

Sandy Denny wrote the lyrics for BOC. Pure genius. Talking about Men in Black 30 years ago too, woot. Mebbe if you put it on the CD, Art will hear it and start using it. We learn by doing. (it's fun to play with causality heh)

You really shouldn't ask me ... because I'd request Pink Floyd's
Weclome to the Machine"
the duet by Nat and Natalie Cole "Unforgettable"
Willie Nelson's "Tenderly"
and my all time favorite by the Cream "Layla"

MÉTISSE's Boom Boom Ba's got to be one of the WORST bumper songs Mr. Bells ever exposed his audience to.... :p (puke)

There was that ketchup song too. Art loved that song for about a week.

Burt the words to Boom Boom Ba of course I cannot understand but there is something about the beat that I just really like. There is a kind of difference to the sound. Now mind you we keep it going in the ORR with Boomer cuz I do call him Boom Ba and it does make me smile. I have the CD for Midnight in the Desert and I like that song too. The new one Conspiracy Radio is pretty good but I can't hear the words real good when he mentions Art's name as the music seems to drown the words out but it is a great song re: C2C and Art. I have other songs in mind that I like much better than Boom Boom Ba but still just like it for some reason...The sound I guess..

I'd add the LIVE version of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" from "The Dance" CD (awesome version of that song!). Also, Loreena McKennitt's "The Mummer's Dance" from "The Book of Secrets" CD (just cuz I love Loreena). What about that version of "Over the Rainbow" by the Hawiian fellow? (can't remember his name... had that CD but loaned it to a friend and never got it back, dang it) And I'd add "Dreadmonboogaloo" just for the heck of it becuz Art was so thrilled about it. ;) The "Conspiracy Radio" song, once released, would also be fun to add.

OK... so how can we get a copy of your CD, SP? Can we?

I'd love that... especially since I don't have Midnight in the Desert. (I was dumb and didn't grab it when it was offered, and I can't get my 'puter to download the MP3 file BB linked us to, for some reason. :( )

P.S. -- something by Abba, since Art loves them so, too...
