I joined this site back in May 2000 when Art left and Mike Siegel took over. This is the best fan site on the internet. I have not posted for years, but still follow this forum on a daily basis. I just wanted to say that Art gave me great listening pleasure over the years, and I lost a lot of sleep until I got my versacorders. I just listened to the old Speaking Wind interview from back in Dec 1998. This is what the show was about, a conversation between two people, with lots of intelligent and thoughtful UNSCREENED callers. I am not surprised Art left, it was long overdue in my opinion. The higher-up's absolutely ruined this show, and I cannot even listen to it anymore. I have tried and tried, but the guests are not that good, the host does not know how to conduct an intelligent interview, and I cannot believe the quality of the callers. I will listen to George Knapp and Ian Punnett when the guests are interesting. I also listen to Whitley's Dreamland on a regular basis. I will miss Art deeply, hell, I still miss Hilly Rose guest hosting, but I just cannot listen to this mess anymore. A real shame what has happened. I certainly wish Art Bell the best in his retirement. He has earned it.

Hi Al,
Hilly Rose is still doing interviews on Fate Magizine site, it is very inexpensive to join.

Here is the full definition:
The number 30 means "The End. No more." It also means "good night." It so happens that in Land-line Morse code, 30 is sent didididahdit daaah, the zero being a long dash.

Clear channel destroyed Coast to Coast AM... And that moron Georgie Noory is about as interesting as wet sand. And his 'new' audience isn't anywhere near as sharp witted as yours was. It really reflects the kind of job George is doing...
I expect C2C to be canceled by this time next year.
I loved to hear Art even if it was only occasionally. I can agree about George Noory. I notice that he seems to agree with whatever the guest says. I've even heard him contradict his views on a subject to agree with the current host. The only reason I listen is because some guests are just interesting and Noory can't even screw that up. I loved when Art would question the guest and not just agree with everything they said. Thank goodness Ian Punnett and George Knapp are still doing some shows. They at least voice their opinions and don't let guests get away with bull!

If Art wanted to, he could stream his Ham show over the Internet. Anyone who wants a talk show these days doesn't need to get on a station. They can be heard by thousands if they want.
