The '30' in Ham radio 'code' means "The End"
Here is the full definition:
The number 30 means "The End. No more." It also means "good night." It so happens that in Land-line Morse code, 30 is sent didididahdit daaah, the zero being a long dash.

I will sincerely miss your wit, personality and smooth voice Art. You ruled the Airwaves for decades. You will always be a part of our memories and we'll probably be listening to old shows of yours till we're old and retired ourselves!
30 mate... good night Art.
IF you ever wanted to come back to the airwaves, you should look into Cell Phone streaming--via apps.. you could set that up all by yourself, and have a monthly payment.. etc.. so YOU control everything. As it was.
Clear channel destroyed Coast to Coast AM... And that moron Georgie Noory is about as interesting as wet sand. And his 'new' audience isn't anywhere near as sharp witted as yours was. It really reflects the kind of job George is doing...
I expect C2C to be canceled by this time next year.

Ziroc,
the New audience run over to the phones to vote on all these "reality" shows and sit there for the mind numbing entertainment value. This is the audience that coast caters too.. idiots that will spend money on anything they are told to spend money on.
If this is why art would quit. I would say good move to do so.

I would say get away while you have an ounce of sanity Art.
Art since we all know you read the forum here.. I have to say this.. it was great talking to you on the hams phone patch when you guys did it.

by the time I started listening to Coast, Art was only on on the weekends, but I still liked his show and listened whenever I could (whenever I was able to stay up all the way till 5 am). I listened to a lot of the Noory shows, as the show, not the host, had been recommended to me, but I eventually could not listen anymore. I did like Ian though. Sometimes listened to him, often listened to the Somewhere In Time show on Saturdays It has been a long time since I listened to any Coast, and I had been looking forward to hearing Art on the predictions shows. So I am sad to see this happening. I can't say I was ever a huge loyal fan of Art, but he always entertained me and he made the late nights more interesting. I must say I find a lot of the paranormal/conspiracy stuff a lot of baloney, but Art I thought always approached it with an open mind, but at the same time a proper amount of skepticism (unlike what I have heard from a certain other host.)
end of
rambling, just wanted to say what Coast and Art have meant to me, and if I never hear him again, he will be missed

I am a ham, KE3PB, and you can hear just fine from the U.S. Our radio equipment is designed for world-wide reception and transmission. It might be a little harder to hear the Philippines but Art usually runs a hot rig and a great antenna and if you have a good rig and antenna on your end you should be able to hear him. 40 meters is particularly good for this.

Several years ago when Art retired then announced he was returning to radio I wrote the following parody. It is to the tune of Little Red Riding Hood. Enjoy and remember well.....
Hey Mr Bell this rides been good,
Wouldnt change it if I could,
Speeding through the universe into the dark of the night.
We'll take Dames and Hoagie too,
Fly to Mars and remote view,
The global super storm thats gonna do us all in.
What a great show you've got,
A real weirdo melting pot,
Sometimes it gives me such a fright,
When we go "pahrumping into the night".
Gonna keep my radio on,
Gonna listen all night long.
Pa Bell is back and waiting to take your call.
