Well, on the other hand it costs nothing. So that part is good.

Yeah, I guess. Do they play commercials on Satellite radio?

Some of the channels have commercials but the music ones do not from what I have been told.

My Thrill-O-Meter is now about 1 and I am struggling to keep it there.

Nothing much good on radio and I figured this would make up for the trash there.

Waiting on the Publishers Clearing House knock on the door then I can afford Sirius XM. :D

Well, it worked for Howard Stern, right?

I had satellite radio in a rental car for a couple of weeks...my experience was that it was kind of like cable or satellite tv....lots of options, still not much I wanted to listen to.

A lot of people have SiriusXM in their cars. I know we (my wife & I) have it in both our 2010 and 2013 models.
The first year is free if you purchase a vehicle with it installed. At Least ours was.

Oh, and I also preferred my regularly broadcast classical music station in LA, KUSC, to the satellite classical stations. So that about blew it for me.

If anything would make me sign up for satellite radio it would be Art, so they really pulled off a coup in signing him.

Well if I want to listen to Art I will have to figure out a way to do that - I stream the radio from my IPad thru Open Heart radio.

hey Art, put up a link on artbell.com to http://www.siriusxm.ca/ saying "For canadian listeners" or something, because when we go to .com it says only available in the USA. You have some fans North of the border...

I wonder if this means the end of SIT repeats?

I suppose Premrad could keep them going for the folks who don't have Sat Radio. And they don't compete directly with his new show.

'Course, there's the risk of Art telling the whole story of his retirements - If that threat still holds, that is.

art from Facebook:
I chose Sirius XM for I think some very good reasons, they cover every inch of North America, well into Central America, Puerto Rico and so forth. They will let me do exactly what I want. Very few if any commercials, Basically Freedom, all the things I told you I would need to cut a deal.

So what are the options here?

Buy a satellite radio from C Crane, or other place and the subscription plus the added cost if you want to also use Internet or what?

Help here as I think many would like an inexpensive solution to hear Art again and the time slot is good for many but what are the options?

On regular radio you could carry anywhere most of the time and hear the program. With satellite your radio needs to see the satellite since that is microwave and does not go into areas like regular radio.

Internet requires Internet enabled devices like a computer, smart phone, tablet.

Is there a option to subscribe say by Internet to just his program?

If nothing, I want to hear him tell the story as it unfolded long ago and why he left.
