Contract Time?
I haven't posted here in a long time, but most of you will remember that Art's contract was due to expire at the end of 2004, making him free to launch a new endeavor at the beginning of 2005.
Of course, it's always possible that when he agreed to return for the weekend gig he signed a new contract with CC. I just checked in here and didn't see any rumors flying around, so thought I'd start the thread. Any clues or hints out there, or do you think that Art's decided he's got the best of all worlds where he's at?

I remember this about his contract. I wonder if he really wants to go back full time or try another network and compete head on with George Noory and C2C AM?
As things are now, I have a better chance of staying up long enough to hear him on the weekends. I have a VersaCorder but still have trouble finding time to listen to the few tapes I do make.

FWIW. I think you are right Tiffany
I see it the same as you did. Honestly, has there really been anything new & exciting in the Coast to Coast genre? To me, it seems to be the same guests rehashing the same stories. Very little "new" information seems to come out. There are the "rumors" that India will disclose contact, yet, the "powers that be" are trying to stop that from happening. Even if India did announce disclosure, I have full faith in our media to be able to spin it as a non story.
I would be happy enjoying retirement with money in the bank, a lovely wife in Ramona to share lives with, & broadcast on KNYE & C2C as need be.

I'd have to agree. If there are no wild hints being floated by now, there are probably no changes brewing. When Art let the rumors circulate that he was planning something big after 1/1/05, it was before he signed for the weekend gig. He was also very angry over the firing of his staff. I think now he accepts that he's got the best of all worlds, so I'd imagine he'll continue the status quo.
Funny, but thanks to Shadow Caster I realized I've still got the "Real Talk" player which I haven't used in several years!
