It's like old home week around here!

But the old ship..I think she's listing a bit further starboard. Which is fine with me..The ballast can be shifted back so the FF's course stays true..

Registrations are now open. I will need to approve you before you can post, so allow for up to a day in order to get approved.

We will definitely get slammed by spammers, so all of us need to watch out for this and report them if you see it.

I know its a pain but she was very concerned with keeping spam off here and sadly thats the only way to 100% make sure of it

I have coded in a little secret spam stopper I made up, and it seems to be working great! It has blocked 13 bogus attempts so far and let 4 through that appear legit.

fan, can I suggest stopforumspam.com

it has php code that you can use.. also I'm sure you can find something there that can be coded into the system.. I use it on my coaststream.com site for my report feature and it has stopped spammers cold in their tracks..

I would suggest taking a look at it.. as I use it on all the forums i've run.. many forum softwares also have a mod addon..

just a few thoughts to look at that..

We are better off at this point than most forums I administer. The spam stopper I coded in has blocked 216 registrations in the last 24 hours. Thanks for the suggestions, I may look into it for another site I can think of.

I think the proof is in the pudding, I have not had to delete one post or ban one person for spamming since I started here. That is actually pretty amazing,
