"Fort Myers, FL
On Wednesday, August 29, 2007, Alfred Bielek, famous alleged survivor of the Philadelphia Experiment, died at his residence in Fort Myers. He was found by a nurse looking after him most every day. Bielek was lying on the floor in his bedroom, when he was found around 7:30 AM in the morning. Bielek, who already suffered from two strokes, probably died of another stroke sometime during the night, and didn't manage to call for help.
The funeral will be managed by Anderson Funeral Home, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd."
Yes, Al is no longer with us... Perhaps some of our children will see him in their futures.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's hard to get and keep the facts straight, especially about Al.
Bobbi, your post is a direct quote taken from http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread300296/pg1. Further down the page is this post.

AL BIELEK IS ALIVE!!!
My husband Michael and I phoned him at 8 am this morning Sep 16 2007. It was a bit early but I thought if he was dead he wouldn't mind me phoning so early. He was stunned and amused to hear that he was meant to have died!!!! <<<

Now, if GN mentioned it, it's probably true as referenced at http://www.ufomystic.com/2011/10/14/al-bielek-gone/

Al Bielek Gone
This just in from Tim Bleckley:
Al Bielek who claimed to be the only survivor of the infamous Philadelphia Experiment passed away in Mexico where he had resided for the last year.<<<

Al was the kind of person who is enveloped in conspiracy because of his story and facts are hard to pin down.
Meanwhile my fellow pirates, enjoy the following which I have listened to several times. Art Bell - Coast to Coast AM from 03-20-97. Pay particular attention to the questions at the 5:10 mark.

George Noory IS the one who first mentioned it; that's why I googled Al's name, and found the posting at ATS, and copied it to my desktop. I'm a little surprised that there aren't more posts available about it yet, but perhaps there will be in the future. But unless you've got satellite equipment or live in a major city in Mexico where Wifi is readily available, it's hard to get something out, and Al wasn't a wealthy person. His caretaker probably isn't rich enough for fast messages, either.
