Sound like a great show. I'm sure I must have heard it. Love the interviews with Paglini!

Did Art also interview her in 2007-08? Sure would like to hear her current take on things.

Hey Linnea, the last time Evelyn was on with Art was in the first hour on 10-26-07, so it's been a long time, think I will bring up that show and listen to what she had to say at that time.

Ahoy Pirates, come join me at 9:00PM Eastern for Art's interview with Dr. Evelyn Paglini from 03-12-06, starting in the second hour. Paglini also said the economy would be derailed, with severe layoffs, escalating oil prices, and a stock market "correction" in this show, she was right on.:(

Hi Bill, this is an interesting show, Evelyn was right on about what is happening today, she predicted it would happen a little earlier but then of course this nightmare was in progress at that time.

So tell me are you still growing a beard? I know that Kaz has one maybe he will respond later when he gets home from work.

My chin hasn't seen the light of day since 1969, although it's trimmed much closer than it once was, and what once was red is now pretty much white.

The poll is posted in the Brig was not intended very seriously--I just thought it was a funny story, and wondered what grooming choices the Y-chromosome pirates had made.

I think Evelyn's timing was off with the hurricanes, because 2006 and 2007 were relatively mild, for the US. (Asia got hammered, however.) But Art's observation about the unusual behavior of the hurricanes--moving rapidly to Category 5, for instance--is quite apt.

She has interesting observations about the economy, perhaps a bit early. Art said the Dow Jones was around 11,000 at the time--it closed today about 7,900.

Yes Art was right about the Cat 5 thing, Paglini on the other hand has been more right than wrong about a lot of things over the years.

Seems the problem is that the investment companies are not helping, the market and banks cannot do it alone, the secondary market is dead right now, reason banks aren't making loans, no one to buy them out.
