WB why would they not put 10 days of food and water on the spacecraft?

From what I've read about that mission, there wasn't enough oxygen on the spacecraft to keep Lika alive for 10 days...

Shirleypal, I envy your ability to collect things like that over time. Did you also collect Art Bell's After Darks? I wish I would have subscribed to that in the 90's. I was able to find the 1995 After Darks in PDF format on the internet.
