Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Isn't Indispensable

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Isn't Indispensable

Since the controversy surrounding the murder of critic Jamal Khashoggi, Saudi Arabia has been able to count on the support of most Arab states. Even as officials privately expressed the hope that the international condemnation of the Washington Post columnist’s killing would curb the powers of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s de-facto ruler, their public statements have been unequivocal.

Now, with prince politically weakened by the controversy, some of the region’s most powerful leaders – Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi – are quietly lobbying the Trump Administration to support him. Their argument: the survival of MBS, as the crown prince is widely known, is essential to the kingdom’s stability, and to the containment of Iran, the main American and Israeli goal in the region.

There are reasons for the U.S. and others to support MBS, especially if he opens up the Khashoggi investigation, embarks on reform, and stops the war in Yemen. But stability is not one of them. It's an old, thoroughly discredited trope deployed in the support of Middle Eastern tyrants for decades. It has rarely been used to defend a Saudi ruler, and for good reason.

The Prince, in my opinion is not really, at this point Despensible either. It is kind of a wait and watch thing........

The murder of critic Jamal Khashoggi is just how the typical Saudi Justice system works in Arab / Muslim countries . No one , including Khashoggi would ever be accused of being overly "tender" to any one or anything.

But the Prince was making some strong statements reguarding "Reform". In Order to understand what that might mean you must understand that Muslim Government and Religion are one in the Same, with Sharia Law being their Rule of Law. Mostly , way over the Understanding of an common American head. Who thinks "a little cuddle" is all thats needed to fix the Murderous Intentions . Not being Muslim, is just not good for your health. And being a Muslim, is no safe thing either.

Did you notice places like CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the MSM kept bringing the Khashoggi thing up wanting Trump to more or less Jump into the middle of it, calling for "Justice"................What the Democrats and Obamieitts Do Not want Is Muslim Reform! Infiltration is going well. And think about it. Islam is NOT allowed to be a topic, unless you become considered "Islamophobic". That in its self should be a warning shot over our dumbed down little heads.
