America has the best Socialist System in the World. It provides money, housing , medical , schooling, all free to those too lazy, can't or just plain won't work. It also allows, those, that want to create something better for for them selves, by striving for their own "Deams" and "Desires" that is called Capitalism.

Capitalisim, is truly what the "Ocasio-Cortez’s" and the Democrats wish to destroy, that is the target. Only by doing that will they gain the power over all, with no choice. The Serfdom of the Dark Age, will be realised. Then as they take your money, your property , and take all the things Away from you that makes human life worth living.
They can enjoy themselves by picking and choosing who gets to die, and never see that "Utopia" promised.

Georgia Guidestones

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

We are 7 Billion, at least 95% have to die, to get to their version of "Utopia" . And , yet, there are so many who are so enthralled with the "Dark Side, where promises are Never kept.

There is Utopia, it's not here. And you have to "Earn" it. Hint, it does not come by harming others or Yourself to get it.

GND: A Socialist Suicide Pact Worthy of Rev. Jim Jones

Post by Riddick » 02-10-2019 04:01 PM

Excerpted from John Zmirack's article:

Lots of conservatives are laughing at Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and her Green New Deal. And from one perspective, they’re right. It’s not public policy but a delusional wish list, a ransom note pasted together with clipped out words from storybooks and glued in place with bubblegum.

Cortez wants to end all air travel and stop cows from farting, in order to financially support those “unwilling to work” and appease the gods of the Climate. If you don’t laugh you’ll cry.

But once you’ve stopped chuckling, you notice something unsettling. Namely, the cold Bolshevik steel in the eyes of leftist zealots. The power of Utopian promises and apocalyptic threats to recruit the young and intellectually lazy. The enduring appeal of fantasies of force, from the national socialist thugs of 1920s Berlin to the disgruntled Muslim youths who sign up for ISIS.

Indeed, the fact that Cortez’s plan is absurd shouldn’t let us wave it off as insignificant. In fact, it could prove quite powerful. And that doesn’t have me laughing. Not when a movement based in delusions, wish-fulfillment, envy, sloth, and rage is appealing to young people. And misdirecting their natural idealism and zeal to the service of deepest Hell.

Yes, the Aztec belief that the gods were dying and needed human blood to keep the sun coming up seems ridiculous. But on the prisoners whose hearts they were cutting out and thighs they were roasting in chipotle sauce? The joke was lost. Likewise for the Jews who laughed at the National Socialists. And the Duma deputies who waved off the Bolsheviks. And the Venezuelan economists who chuckled at the bumpkin Hugo Chavez.

There was nothing funny about the socialist death cult the Rev. Jim Jones started. Read Daniel Flynn’s shocking account of that movement in his new book Cult City. He recounts in sobering detail how dreams of perfect equality, of establishing heaven on earth, led thousands to perish in a man-made hell in the jungle.

When their Utopia began to fall apart, Jones called on them all to refuse to live in a wicked capitalist world. And almost to a man, woman, or parent, they agreed. Those who didn’t were forced to swallow poison at gunpoint.

Now ex-barmaid Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is the one mixing the Kool-Aid. You’ll be shocked at how many people prove eager to drink it.

"Occasional Cortex & The Brainiacs''

"Occasional Cortex & The Brainiacs' Having Us On?

By Judi McLeod

Author James Piereson, Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, said it best last August: “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has emerged from the Bronx as the newest socialist celebrity and is traveling the country singing the virtues of socialism, as if no one has heard those songs before.”

Ocasio-Cortez should be called out for what this latest socialist phenomenon really is: ‘Occasional Cortex and the Brainiacs’, the brainiacs being the white-garbed Democrat women who made fools of themselves desperately clamoring for attention at last week’s State of the Union address.

“Singing the virtues of socialism”, AOC style means promising her largely millennial following free stuff.

“A unicorn in every barn farting rainbows”

According to Canada Free Press commenters, this would include “a unicorn in every barn farting rainbows”.

Problem is AOC is no joke but the best hope for socialists elected to power last Midterms to render the USA a socialist nation.

President Donald Trump who promised that America would NEVER be a socialist nation, should take the for-mentioned Piereson to heart in suggesting that ...“given our loose standards on the subject, why isn’t socialism a “hate crime”?

Even a cursory glance at how socialism has been the scourge of the earth shows how mostly hatred and human harm resonate from it.

For Comparison's Sake...

Post by Riddick » 02-11-2019 02:36 AM

As scaling socio-economic systems goes in general, I've come up with these simple illustrative descriptions

- Capitalism is when cows can be owned by individuals and/or businesses to produce meat and milk to sell to consumers

- Socialism is when the government determines which individuals and/or businesses can own cows, the number of cows they can own, how the meat and milk will be produced, which consumers will have to pay for the meat and milk, and which ones will get it for free

- Communism is like socialism, except the government confiscates all the cows. And anyone caught with cows & producing their own meat and milk has to turn them over, after which they have a chioce of either going to the gulag or being shot

- Green New Deal Democratic Socialism is when the government takes cows, kills them and puts everyone on a diet of seaweed, recycled urine and insects.

Concerning , I think that we've already had that for a while now, right Riddick? Didn't the Dept of Agriculture already out a plan into action for registering poultry? https://growingsmallfarms.ces.ncsu.edu/ ... id-number/

My take is this, no mater which election, each side tends to move further to its extreme to capture as many voters during the primary. Once that is done, then the candidates move towards the center. AOC has undoubtedly yanked a few chains and many Democrats are rushing to embrace her views with 202 fast approaching, but, the devil's in the details and many of these ideas won't get out of the various committees.......

Some GOP members of government at the state level, are already working to address climate change. Coastal communities especially are likely to be submerged, A recent study showed that Florida alone will see 22 communities underwater. Large chunks of New York city will disappear as well.

In Boston, GOP governor Charlie Baker is urging congress to start to do SOMETHING to address rising sea levels and effects of weather that have decimated coastal communities:

Charlie Baker urges Washington to act on climate change

WASHINGTON — Massachusetts’ Republican governor, Charlie Baker, on Wednesday called on the federal government to take significant action to respond to the threat of climate change, marking a sharp contrast with his party’s orthodoxy on the issue.

Baker testified before the House Committee on Natural Resources, which held its first hearing on climate change since 2009, part of an effort by Democrats to bring the issue to the fore now that they control the House.

“We understand the science and know the impacts are real because we are experiencing them firsthand,” Baker said.

The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is also requiring any commercial poultry grower with 200 or more birds to submit a HPAI outbreak plan. A commercial grower would be any grower under contract with an integrated company.

A recent study of climate studies over time shows in-large the apocalyptic nature of their conclusions invariably increase from one to the next. For decades now we've been getting ever-more dire predictions yet what have we got to show for it?

Of course, you can ALWAYS count on some companies and the government to profit by the "junk science".............

NJ flood insurance rates rising again; are they too much?

It's as inevitable as the coming of spring: Each April 1, flood insurance premiums rise.

It's no different for 2018.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency reports flood premiums will jump about 8 percent this year.

Here are some facts about the flood premium increase:
•The average flood policy will cost $935 annually, up from $866 in 2017. That number does not include the surcharges homeowners are required to pay. When those are factored in, the average policy will cost $1,062 in 2018.
•There were 231,956 flood insurance policies in effect in New Jersey, according to FEMA, which administers the National Flood Insurance Program. The average New Jersey policy holder pays about $1,000 a year, but that number has been steadily rising.
•While the average flood policy will cost 8 percent more, some homeowners will see much larger rate increases — up to 25 percent for vacation homes, commercial properties and homes that have had repetitive flood losses.

The National Flood Insurance Program provides flood coverage for 5 million policy holders nationwide. The video above explains how the program works.

But, at the moment, the program is in limbo.

Congress must periodically reauthorize NFIP so that flood insurance policies can continue to be issued and renewed.

Initially set to expire Sept. 22, 2017, the program has been extended several times; it is now set to expire July 31.

NFIP is more than $25 billion in debt, and claims arising from a series of devastating storms last year — including Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria — have put even more of a strain on the system.

No matter which flood insurance proposal Congress eventually adopts, it seems likely that premiums will continue to rise, to better reflect the cost of providing coverage

A Delusional Excuse To Seize Power

Post by Riddick » 02-13-2019 01:49 AM

Edited & excerpted from Sumantra Maitra's article:

If a conservative had to caricature the worst memes about linguistically challenged leftist, hippie, first-year college student of sociology, with an “IQ thirty points below an absent-minded jellyfish,” to borrow the words of P.G. Wodehouse, she couldn’t come up with a better document.

Nothing highlights a conservative need for societal hierarchy than outright socialist foolishness. In a minimal normative estimate, the much-vaunted Green New Deal will cost around $6.6 trillion per year, or more than a triple of what the U.S. federal government currently collects in tax revenue. It would mean a total government spending of three-fourths of the gross domestic product, for this plan alone.

How to afford the deal? According to bartender-economist prodigy Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, it would be just by nationalization and printing cash currency. I hesitate to take up Venezuela, or the Weimar Republic, but sometimes you are left with no choice.

The surprising thing is that there’s no organized media pushback, which hints at something far more rotten. In an ideal world, there would be journalists flocking and camping in front of every single Democratic presidential candidate’s office to constantly badger them about their support of this insane document, or for that matter, their lack of activism about (alleged) rapists and racists in Virginia.

The only thing visible is reluctance and obfuscation. When the supposed gatekeepers of society act as public relations agents for a certain specific ideology, no wonder it leads to a reaction. The rules of the game should be universal. The moment it is quite evidently not, people feel disillusioned, and there is a disconnect between the masses and the elites.

That is why this Green New Deal is a harbinger of something far more sinister. It goes without saying that no one in the Democratic Party and in the media and academic elites, other than hardcore ideologues, actually believe this is a plausible scenario.

To fundamentally transform a society of more than 300 million people, to completely eradicate air travel and cars and retrofit every single home with green energy, to provide taxpayer-sponsored health care, education, food, and shelter for people, some of whom are simply are too lazy, privileged, and narcissistic to work, would entail a level of coercion that cannot be brought about by anyone other than an all-encompassing nanny state, facing zero resistance.

It is, put simply, a totalitarian endeavor. That level of promised welfare wouldn’t be solved by taxing billionaires but would need to be funded by a Scandinavian-level enormous flat tax of every single American, including the middle and working classes.

It wouldn’t be possible to win that argument, because it simply won’t fly in the West in a normal debate. Tell an average British or American person that he needs to pay 60 percent of his income and give up his car so that a lazy person who chooses not to work can sit at home and see how that works out.

The Green New Deal is obviously idiotic, but the people in the media and academia—and especially the politicians who are bandwagoning with it—are not. It is, as always, means to achieve power, with the ultimate aim to nationalize and expand the state to a leviathan.

The green utopianism and anti-nuclear activism in Europe in the 1980s was funded by the Soviets and it was simply an endeavor to gain power. Post-Cold War, a heavy portion of the determined reds quickly changed jerseys and termed themselves greens, liberals, and social democrats.

Arguably, the one who is more dangerous than Trotsky is the one preaching Trotsky’s virtues to a naïve kid at your local university. The crazy utopian and idealistic college kid with a commie chic ideal is a nuisance with his spray paints, vegan activism, and Che shirt, but is just that—a nuisance.

It is simplistic to just focus on him or her, failing to see the bigger picture, of a far larger threat of soft, smiley faced totalitarianism—the seemingly effete elites, who instigate and support these crazies and in turn seek their support, to gain control of society and curtail freedom.

After all, if there is ever totalitarianism in the West, it would come from the side that wants to increase the government and bureaucracy, not cut it down; and it would come with the overwhelming support of the elite intellectuals, fellow travelers, and cheerleaders in media and academia.
