This is an intelligent response to the court's newest ruling against President Trumps new order on now fewer countries on the banned travel list of selected M.E. states/countries.

Federal appeals court upholds block on Trump’s temporary immigration ban
MAY 25, 2017 2:20 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER 40 COMMENTS

https://www.jihadwatch.org/2017/05/fede ... ration-ban

The 2 key words are "single out"...........It's one helluva contrast MSM would never mention :!:

“Trump has insisted that the measure is necessary to prevent possible terrorist attacks. But courts in previous rulings blocking its enforcement have cited past statements from Trump and his advisers signaling that it may single out Muslims.”

:!: Meanwhile, Muslims continue singling out non-Muslims for jihad terror attacks. :!: If the UK had had Trump’s ban in place years ago, the father of the Manchester jihad mass murderer, who himself has links to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State would not have been admitted into the country from Libya, and the Manchester jihad massacre would not have happened.

But to think this way is “Islamophobic.” We must allow our people to be murdered in jihad attacks, and take no steps to prevent these attacks. Any such steps would “single out Muslims”!

The appeals court decision claims that the Executive Order “in text speaks in vague terms of national security, but in context drips with religious intolerance, animus and discrimination.”

In context? Is Manchester any relevant context? Or any of the other recent jihad terror attacks?

You have to remember that the courts, while claiming to work in real-life situations, practically work using academic-setting. They parse their language very carefully and limit their scope to a very narrow focus, and THEN apply their verdicts very broadly. It's the worst possible set-up in these instances.
There you go man, keep as cool as you can. Face piles and piles of trials with smiles. It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave. And keep on thinking free. (Moody Blues)

G-man # 1 Jeff Sessions is taking their collective do goodie, good judgment bull sh!t to the Supreme Court. That was in the radio news last night.

Yes kbot! Their scope is tracking a very narrow focus and they lost no relatives or friends on September 11, 2001 :!:

Trump Pledges To Rebuild American Infrastructure With American Labor And Materials

Post by Riddick » 06-08-2017 03:35 PM

Speaking in Cincinnati, Ohio, President Donald Trump pledged to rebuild the nation’s infrastructure using American labor and materials.

“We’re here today to talk about rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure. Isn’t it about time? Spending money all over the world, except here. We don’t spend our money here. We spend it all over, and we’ll do it using American labor, American energy, American iron, aluminum and steel. We believe in the dignity of work and in the greatness of the American worker,” he said.

“You saw what happened last week with the so-called Paris Accord. We will keep our nation so great and so strong, and we will never have outside forces telling us what to do and how to do it, believe me. That would have been a huge anchor on our country,” Trump said.

The president plans to partner with the private sector on infrastructure projects and get the government out of the way. He plans to spur growth and investment by “dramatically reducing permitting time for projects from 10 years to 2 years and slashing regulations to speed up the decision making process.” He has “dedicated $200 billion in his budget as part of a $1 trillion investment plan to rebuild infrastructure,” according to the White House.

Trump pledged to put America’s skilled trade people back to work. He reiterated a promise he made to labor unions in Washington: “As long as I am president, America’s labor leaders will always find an open door at the White House.” FULL STORY

Thanks Riddick for posting his speech in the Queen City. A huge 40' tall replica of Princess Diana's tiara sits atop Cincinnati's tallest cloud scraper! Lit up at night it sure stands out and my daughter works in that insurance complex downtown.

He means what he says and we wish his wishes all the luck for America! Counting on our luck too! :D Our small town now has 825 coal trucks hauling 22,000 tons of coal per day.

Riddick, Doka, and kbot in 20 mins I'll be departing for Ontario via Wisconsin and I plan to be back on the 23rd. Keep up the good piracy here! Were there ever good pirates :?:

Hey Now MK, on your way to Ontario via the Dairy State eh? Well, hope your AC's workin' 'cause we're having a heat wave here over the weekend and into the middle of next week. I like summer as much as anyone, but a stretch of 90+ degree days with high humidity this early on makes me a bit wary about what the rest of the season's gonna look like!!

Trump Orders Government To Stop Work On Y2K Bug

Post by Riddick » 06-16-2017 01:15 AM

Image
- From Bloomberg:

Seventeen years after the Year 2000 bug came and went, the federal government will finally stop preparing for it.

The Trump administration announced Thursday that it would eliminate dozens of paperwork requirements for federal agencies, including an obscure rule that requires them to continue providing updates on their preparedness for a bug that afflicted some computers at the turn of the century. As another example, the Pentagon will be freed from a requirement that it file a report every time a small business vendor is paid, a task that consumed some 1,200 man-hours every year.

“We’re looking for stuff everyone agrees is a complete waste of time,” Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney told reporters at the White House. He likened the move to the government “cleaning out our closets.”

Deregulation is a major ambition of President Donald Trump’s agenda; as one example, he has signed more laws rolling back his predecessor’s regulations than the combined total of the three previous presidents since the process was established by the 1999 Congressional Review Act.

Seven of the more than 50 paperwork requirements the White House eliminated on Thursday dealt with the Y2K bug, according to a memo OMB released. Officials at the agency estimate the changes could save tens of thousands of man-hours across the federal government.

The agency didn’t provide an estimate of how much time is currently spent on Y2K paperwork, but Linda Springer, an OMB senior adviser, acknowledged that it isn’t a lot since those requirements are already often ignored in practice.

Mulvaney said he hopes that by publicly eliminating the rules, departments and agencies will be inspired to review their own policies and procedures to reduce inefficiencies.

“Many agencies have forgotten how to deregulate,” he said. “It’s been so long since somebody asked them to look backwards.”

The effort isn’t intended to reduce the federal workforce, Mulvaney said, but should free up employees for more productive tasks. He said his agency would begin a second review of requirements imposed by presidential executive orders and by Congress, with the hope of identifying more that could be eliminated.

Trump: We Won't Let Other Countries 'Break the Rules, Steal Our Jobs and Drain Our Wealth'

Post by Riddick » 07-18-2017 11:54 PM

The White House on Monday kicked off what it calls Made in America week by highlighting American-made goods from all 50 states.

"We’re here today to celebrate American manufacturing and to showcase the amazing products from all 50 states, made in the USA. Remember in the old days they used to have 'Made in the USA', 'Made in America'? But made in the USA. We’re going to start doing that again. We’re going to put that brand on our product because it means it’s the best," Trump said at the Made in America product showcase at the White House.

"We want to build, create, and grow more products in our country using American labor, American goods, and American grit. When we purchase products made in the USA, the profits stay here, the revenue stays here, and the jobs -- maybe most importantly of all -- they stay right here in the USA," he said.

"In just a few months and moments, I will say what we’ve done over a short period of time and what we’re going to be doing over the next six months will be incredible. We’ve signed more bills -- and I’m talking about through the legislature -- than any president ever," the president said.

The president said that a man from the Greater Omaha Packing company, representing Nebraska's Made in America product display, expressed his gratitude to the president because he was able to convince China to start buying American beef again after the country had banned imports of beef in 2003 because of mad cow disease.

"It is true that, as I walked through the halls, we saw so many great companies, but the gentleman who was in charge of Omaha Beef -- they do beef -- he hugged me, he wanted to kiss me so badly, because he said, our business is a whole different business now because you got China approved. The other administrations couldn’t even come close. And I told him, you know how long it took? One sentence. I said, President Xi, we’d love to sell beef back in China again. He said, you can do that. That was the end of that," Trump said.

"In just a few moments, I’ll be signing a Presidential Proclamation to launch 'Made in America Week' and to make today 'Made in America Day,'" he said.

Trump pledged that he will not allow other countries to break the rules and steal American jobs and drain American wealth.

"You construct and harvest the products that fill our homes, feed our families, and defend our nation, and enrich our lives. I want to make a pledge to each and every one of you: No longer are we going to allow other countries to break the rules, steal our jobs, and drain our wealth -- and it has been drained," he said.

"For decades, Washington has allowed other nations to wipe out millions of American jobs through unfair trade practices. Wait until you see what’s up for you. You are going to be so happy. This painful exodus of American jobs -- and I’ve been talking about it for years -- was also marked by a period of sluggish growth, falling incomes, surging welfare, and shrinking participation in the workforce. Clearly, it’s time for a new policy -- one defined by two simple rules: We will buy American and we will hire American," Trump said.

The president said his administration is "removing burdens and regulations" on U.S. companies so they can thrive, compete, and grow. The president also pledged to crackdown on unfair trade practices like "predatory online sales of foreign goods, which is absolutely killing our shoppers and our shopping centers."

Trump boasted about the creation of over 50,000 brand new manufacturing jobs since the beginning of the year. Trump said restoring U.S. manufacturing will "restore our wealth" and "restore our pride." It will also "revitalize our independence, and it will rebuild the bonds of kinship between our communities and our citizens, which has been lagging."

Riddick 'n all,

I like that report a lot and I'm 100% for that "Buy American" action from the partially drained swamp! From a dismal D.C. congress that's never had American dry goods and foods at the top of it's long "things to do" lists before now. Just like your report above there are many headliners the POTUS can act on to take the wind out of MSM's sails, nearly daily!

This action you've noted could be putting the cart before the horse. Here's how because we'll need our American power company's cheap juice now more than ever guaranteed!

This topic's morphed into another one that's maybe too serious for some.............The SHIELD Act!

viewtopic.php?f=41&t=51457

The health and well being of all "in country" Americans is number one!

The cart's ready to roll but the guaranteed horse is still way out in the pasture!

MK II  "I'm just say'in that from one expert in transportation of "American's dry goods".

Trump Is The Least-Regulatory President Since Reagan In First Six Months

Post by Riddick » 07-26-2017 01:03 AM

On Friday, we got “Donald J. Trump’s Six Months of America First” media statement, covering energy, the Supreme Court appointment of Neil Gorsuch, government accountability, trade, regulations and the like.

We also got the obscure “Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions,” published twice a year since the Reagan administration. It just so happens both he six-month mark and the Agenda, which lists agency priorities, happened on the same day.

Early in his administration, Trump prominently declared that 70 percent of regulations “can go,” issued a regulatory freeze, and required agencies to eliminate at least two rules for every new rule adopted. Any new costs need to be offset.

The Agenda outlines agency priorities, so a better gauge is the Federal Register, which depicts all agency rules. When one looks at Federal Register data, overall rules and significant rules from Trump’s first six months are way down compared to Obama.

No one is surprised that the Trump administration would issue considerably fewer regulations than the Obama administration. The Trump mode so far is to regulate bureaucrats rather than the public. This seems significant for the administrative state. The last time we saw anything comparable was when regulations and Federal Register page counts both dropped by over a third under Reagan. This is very significant! But, not meaningful to those that like to rob the poor, like good Socialists.
