Kool-aid? Can you tell me what's in it? Any downsides, side-effects?

Drink up! It's good for you and it's free. Don't ask questions.

Are you a doctor?

What difference does it make? Shut up & take your medicine

But I haven't even said why I'm here. I just got a notice in the mail

Your problem is you don't trust government. We can fix that

What if I don't want to be "fixed"?

No problem. You don't drink the Kool-aid, you go to a gulag.

Whaaa? I didn't feel terribly bad off but now I'm really depressed.

Ah, NOW we're getting somewhere. Do you have any money?

So what if I do? How is that a problem?

Smartass. How much money you can have is for us to decide. Also how & where you live. We have a planet to save y'know. Now hold still. We need exact dimensions for the box.

What now? The mail I got didn't say anything about a box

It'll be your new living space. If you own a home don't worry, the government will soon be confiscating all private property.

OMG - I can't believe this is happening! IT'S AN ORWELLIAN NIGHTMARE!

Like it or don't like it, it's the best thing going today fella so learn to love it 'cuz not only has Totalitarian Statism arrived? It's here to stay. WOOO!

It is Truely amazing to watch "Mindless Mind F!#1s" Fighting , everything Good being offered! The idea of Peace and Plenty is just down right Evil, because it is "Never Enough". Now, I'm going to go have a Wonderful Day! :D :D

An all too common issue, yet one not at all restricted to individual concerns - Still Medicare For All's 32.6 Trillion Dollar price tag is within our means ainit? And if it's not? So what! It's like fighting climate change. We can't afford not to do it -

Bernie Knows Best: Pure & Simple? For the sake of the greater good, and with the planet at stake, all means leading to their demise need be deployed... sooner rather than later one way or another Capitalism & Free Markets MUST. BE. *DESTROYED*.

I'd say for all too many, what's wanted is that we all agree there's never been and never should be, any such thing as a personal problem - AND in that case, insofar the tremendous burden of taking individual responsibility makes them miserable? I'd suggest as an effective cure what's needed is a good swift kick in the collective ass

Over his more than 30 year career, 'public service' has done well by Bernie and his family. While he may say it's all about the greater good, Sanders has been quite adept at promoting his own bottom line, becoming the very model of the corrupt socialist leader who profits at the expense of the citizens he is elected to serve. RELATED: The Bolshevik Bernie Media Makover Begins

Many among the center–left commentariat are struggling to come to terms with the likelihood that the Democratic Party will nominate an authoritarian leftist for president. Others, however, have begun reinventing Sanders, who, they now contend, isn’t actually a socialist socialist, because he’ll never send you to die in an icy gulag and few of his policy ideas will ever come to fruition.

Matt Fuller over at Huffington Post posits that moderates shouldn’t be too “scared” of a Sanders presidency “when all Republicans and most Democrats in Congress publicly oppose Medicare for All.” Really? The signature policy idea championed by a major party’s leading presidential contender is so unpopular that the majority of elected officials can’t publicly support it, and that should reassure moderates?

“Vote Bernie: He’s got tremendously unpopular positions that will never pass!”

You’ll notice, no doubt, that Fuller is careful to say elected officials only “publicly oppose” socialistic ideas, which usually intimates that some might personally desire a federally run health-care system. It’s just a matter of time before they evolve to the enlightened position, no doubt. Bernie, whom we must now take seriously but not literally, is just a step in the right direction. FULL STORY

Bernie’s Wealthy Bros

At Front Page, Daniel Greenfield analyzes the source, by zip code, of donations to the Bernie Sanders campaign:

Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Their employees are three of the top 4 Bernie donors. Apple is in fifth place. These dot coms are not exactly organizations known to employ members of the proletariat.
***
Geographically, Bernie’s top dollar zip code is 94110 in San Francisco. The average household income in this part of the Mission District, specifically the Inner Mission, the Bernal Heights area, is $166,302. The median home value is around $1.5 million and the median rent is almost $5,000 a month.

There are no poor socialists in what was dubbed as "the hottest neighborhood in San Francisco."
***
What do Bernie’s top donor zip codes have in common? Beyond wealth, Bernie’s cash flow is coming from a handful of very blue cities, almost all of them in California and New York City. Only two of the top ten zip codes are located outside San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City. That alone conveys the insular and unrepresentative nature of Bernie’s funding base compared to the rest of the country.

Bernie’s campaign is powered by the very concentrations of power and wealth that he condemns.

The socialist movement in the U.S. is, in large part, a movement of the one percent–in particular, the young, hipster element of the one percent. This isn’t as surprising as it may seem. Giving more power to the government isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you think you are going to be running the government, or that those who run the government will do so in your shared interests.

It is a lot easier for wealthy young hipsters to imagine the government being run in their interests than for blue-collar Americans to do the same, which is why wealthy hipsters are likely to be socialists, while working class Americans are not. FULL STORY
