He is considering doing a show live but streaming from his website. Now I don't know how long this will take but that is the info I'm getting.
This is what I called for him to do to begin with, but I never thought he would do it. Honestly, I still don't.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Would he really want to do all that? How would that be competing w/ Noory on his own terms?

I personally feel that Art has killed his career and pissed off his once loyal fanbase.

No, but he should. He doesn't realize you can make a good living, maybe even better than what sirius offered him. He needs a few successful marketing teams to pitch him.

There must've been a mass exodus of people canceling their subscriptions after the month-long trial ended. I feel badly for the people who bought radios, etc...if it's more than 30 days since they bought their equipment, it's probably too late to return it.

How much did people spend? I bet for some, it was a significant amount.

definitely. I am pissed at the 2 month's worth of subscription I did. I almost bought a radio too... I think Kaz said he did.

Yeah ~ we're talking pizza punch money.

I agree with Fan. Art should seriously consider a podcast if he wants to try and move forward. It needs to be new - new topics, new experts, relevant subject matter. For instance, I'd like to hear him interview Elon Musk about some of the more edgy/sci-fi ideas Musk is batting around and even building, such as Mars colonies, the Hyperloop, and reusable rockets. Autodesk just published the next batch of studies for the Hyperloop, using automated machines to weave the tubes out of carbon fiber. Fascinating stuff - every bit as interesting as the old Kaku shows. Art should look at what Leo LaPorte does with Twit (as a revenue model), minus the $120k drupal site.

This thing was doomed to fail on subscription satellite. And for my money, Art hasn't been 'all in' for nearly 20 years. In fact, I think if we could catch a glimpse of his true motivations for doing the old radio show, we'd be shocked.
For if it profit, none dare call it Treason.

Here's something else: what about the guests who chose Art when they were told they had to choose? Remember all that carrying on w/ the GIS? Snoory should now make a big deal about welcoming them back to his show after their bad experience.

There are other options, and I still think terrestrial radio would be a grab for him. He needs to return to his roots where he and a small core of people made the decisions. Signing with a big company is really a pact with the devil.

On the other hand, there really hasn't been any official announcement. Apparently they're broadcasting a repeat tonight.

Bad move on Art's part. You honor your agreements. I was really enjoying the new show and will miss it.

I hope Sirius XM has a non-compete clause in his contract.

I am very disappointed in Art.

I emailed Art and he replied:

His reply can be found @ http://darkmatterxm.com/threads/art-bell-comments.217/

I feel this will become a copy and paste deal used by Art for damage control.
I was right. He is now using this email for damage control.
