Much much better than last night - one of the better DMs thus far in fact. It's always best when the guest is more grounded than AB. Although the conversation tonight is light, and smart all the way around.

But.....

It seems like I have to complain about everything these days. Even when the show is at it's best, the Sirius platform leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure I'll be on board after the 30 day trial. I haven't used it all outside of DM, the commercials are too damn loud (cranking th volume on commercials is not unique to SIrius, but it's a mickey-mouse thing to do, especially to paying listeners.

In the last segment, Art $ Seth seemed convinced that fundamentalists would be unable to digest a visitation. I'm not sure. The Catholic Church for instance has stated that there is room in their worldview for non-demonic aliens.

I think it's more that no one really cares about a "visitation" at this point.

The show is striking me as sort of willfully irrelevant.

Unless it actually happened.

Then again I deal with people everyday who are raised by 9th grade drop out mothers with no fathers. They don't even know we went to the moon for the most part.

They wouldn't even give it a second thought. So yea. Maybe it is to most people now a days.

Well, most of these guys are bull****ters who, during the C2C heyday, created their own little subculture of seminars and workshops where they could peddle their wares to a hopeful and gullible public. It was a skeevy, manipulative, sleazy scene, filled with backstabbing and drama. No wonder Art distanced himself around it -- but he was the fluorescent sun they all buzzed around. Truth didn't have anything to do with it...but at least it was, in the context of the times, sort of and occasionally an interested diversion.

Now, in the context of everything that's happened in the last 5-10 years, it just seems ridiculous. In that sense, no one cares, and rightly so.

I guess so.

I dont care for all the new age crap. I'm more of a nuts and bolts guy. He was good at it. Personally I liked it because the other 20 hours of the day are all politics and I can only take so much.
