Help- Questions-Suggestion

Post by rolede » 09-17-2013 08:08 PM

1. There are those of us that haven't been here in years.
2. There are new people joining.

A. It would be nice if there was a section with a brief overview of the sites beginning, founding members, and perhaps some Bio/Obit of those senior members that have passed away,(Re: ShirleyPal, Linnea, & Joe Quinn.

These people are sometimes mentioned and it is confusing to those who have forgotten them, or never knew of them

B. Likewise some show callers are mentioned that some of us don't have a clue who they are or their significance Re: "JC".

So perhaps a list with a brief explanation of who they are/were would help in the readers' enjoyment of the blog.

I hear you. The information is all available on the forum of course, but gathering some key facts together is going to be helpful to new members.

Wonder if we can get a wikipedia page :)

I will work on this, but if anyone wants to pitch in content, they can make a new thread and call if FAQ and we can collaborate there.

I had to search for about a half hour to find out who ShirleyPal was and the sad story of her passing before a least experiencing Art's return.

I would enjoy knowing more about her and what influence she had.

So yeah, maybe a FAQ column, with a sub "Who's who".

It been said that Small Towns are like Large Families.

I think the same might be said about many blogs.

Good observation - there are the "regulars" and those one can spot with definite personalities.
