I am looking forsome books to read and learn about getting in to HAM radio. I am in Physical Rehab and have alot of time on my hands and have been interest in HAM radio since I was a young kid building crystal radios and then Finding the master, Art Bell on the radio in 1997. If you guys could help me out and tell me to some good reading materials.

Thanks for all your help

Hi BigVig,

My Dad's been a Ham since he was 12 years old...he turned 87 in July and is still DX'ing and having fun as a Ham; thus, I've been around amateur radio all my life, but never "in" it.

I do know that one the best places you can discover what you need to learn and how to learn it (!) is at the National Association for Amateur Radio League Website:

http://www.arrl.org/

The ARRL publishes some great manuals and the site has EVERYTHING you need to know about getting started!

Have fun, and best wishes!
